Music Request

ok, I'm bored. And I need new music to listen too. This might sound a little wierd coming from me, but I want you to tell me what band you think is the most talented band ever, according to you, and I'll go check'em out.

Give me this information in order for me to check them out.

1.The Band and a brief description of what style they are and why you think they're the most talented.

2. A 1-5 song list of what songs you think best exhibit thier musical ability.

3.(Optional) The bands best cd. I'll probably get to that last, and I may not get to it at all.

I'll do my best to look into all of them. The only bands I won't listen to is Linkin Park.

Linkin Park isn't that bad, but I wouldn't have suggested them anyway.

1. Taking Back Sunday - They are "emo" I guess, but they're songs are all really addictive. I listen to them all the time, and have both of their cds. They scream sometimes, so if that kinda thing bothers you then don't bother (I don't imagine it does, though. ^^)

2. Here are my 5 favorites, in order from best to not best: 180 by Summer, You Know How I Do, Set Phasers to Stun, Cute Without the E, and A Decade Under the Influence. Those are all awesome.

3. I liked their newest CD Where You Want To Be better than the old one.

Check them out if you like, or not. It's all up to you. I think they have some songs on purevolume.com you could check out. :thumb:

Common Children...indy Christian rock band from mid 90s. I think there a blend of like Nirvana good Christian lyrics...and orcestra stuff. By far my fav band of all time. Um...hmm. Motograter for your heavy side. (got some nasty lyrics I will warn ya) Lacuna Coil....Itailian Evanescence style (bash Evanescence and your gonna get a pink bunny avatar...) and Beanbag...that should keep you busy. Search on like Google for more info on any of the listed bands. And since Shatterheart recomends them....well....you know I am right Pumpkinkorn....you know it. ;)

Since you're Floydian, pick up Atom Heart Mother for an unusual change of pace.

I could still be champ, but I'd feel bad taking it away from one of the younger guys. - George Foreman

Pumpkin.. give us a style of music you want and bands u like so that I/ we can match bands the sound similar to that or something, you know gernes etc.
Because you might not like Jazz at all so it wouldn't really help to suggest Jamiroquai with their jazzy flavours. Then, Ill list some bands, otherwise Ill get shut down before I start :)

Style of music: Rock/Metal

I do love Jazz though. So you can suggest that as well. And Blues, and Classical, and bluegrass(NOT country though).

And all I have to say about evanescence is this: I think they're good, but a tad bit overrated(I know a lot of my bands are overrated too.). I think the lead singer is awesome, but not when she tries to sing real fast like in the brigde of thier first hit." They just aren't my type of thing, but I don't hate them at all. I would just rather listen to other bands first.

Anyways, Taking Back Sunday. I've heard of them. Isn't there a band a lot like them called Thursday, or Taking Back Thursday? I'll check it out regardless.

*laughs* Your a good man Pumpkinkorn. I don't mind people hating a band if they can admit they have talent. I was having a discussion last night with some members about how much I detest ska...its talented...but its still awful.

If you like early Pink Floyd I'd try "Can".
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
