Left handed

Talent scale: I don't know, I only worry whether I've been investing in the talent(s) God has given me well enough. -_-;;

Talents: Drawing manga, I intend to focus and make full use of it.

I am right handed.

As for creativity; I think it is possible to rate oneself without vanity. I consider creativity to be my only exceptional ability, so I will give myself a 9. A 10 is theoretically reserved for the maximum possible amount of creativity, and that would be less than accurate.

Talents? I think my skills lie in the areas of writing, debating and (to a minor degree) technology. As mentioned before, I do think I've been blessed with creativity.

Left handed people are all sinister

Bwahahaha! Sorry I'm a little late coming to this thread, but that was a great pun CD.
(For the non-latin familiar, the latin word for right is 'dexter' and the word for left is 'sinister' (sin-es-tear) --it was a superstition that all left handed people were cunning, evil, and our english word sinister is derived from it)

As for myself, I'm right handed, despite breaking it at an early age like agasfas. ;) Creativity wise, I'd say I'm a 7.5 or 8. Talent? Does sitting through a lecture on Thucydides count? Seriously though, um, I guess I would have to say writing when I get the juices flowing well enough, and designing things--newspaper layouts, wallpapers, etc.

No that's not crazy, I'm the same way just opposite.
But to be honest I'm a bit surprised on how many left handers there are, I dont feel so alone :)

Does sitting through a lecture on Thucydides count?

I guess that could count, but if we do then we have to accept sitting through philosophy class as well (on my part) :thumb:.

Right handed.

I guess I'm either a 7 or 8.

I can draw, not perfectly, but you can tell what it is a lot of the time, and I write fairly well for my age, and I'm taking piano lessons.

I am right-handed and perform most tasks with him, but my left hand is a much better driver. But don’t tell my right hand that… @_@

Creativity. I like improving things. Filling, building, designing, writing, dreaming, creating in general. I’m a practical visionary that enjoys making things and making things better! ;)

I liked Shooji’s score of Pi, that was creative.
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Right handed. I would say about a six or seven in creativity, because I'm so structured - but I love randomness!

I write, play sax, and draw -- the latter being entirely my left-brain side taking over. I'm a detail drawer, not an artist per se. :)

You know what is weird? I'm left handed and my twin brother is right handed. Another example is that when growing up and i lost a tooth, he would loose the same tooth but on the other side of the mouth. I guess that's what you call mirror twins. We're identical but we don't look it anymore. But I thought that is a bit odd.

Edit: I would also like to add that writing is no fun. I always get pencil/ink smudges on my left palm... the curse of being left handed..... :(

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

My dominant hand is my right, but I use my left for anything detailed like writing or painting and eating. I also wear my watch on my right.

creativity: hmmmm.....lets say 8

talent: graphics design/hacky sack

If right handed people use the left side of the brain, and Left handed use the right, does that mean that left handed people are the only people in their right minds?

Left-handed. But do many mundane activities (cutting with scissors or knife, playing tennis, batting) right-handed.

I've read (and been told) that left handed males usually are the creative, sensitive ones that are most likely to become something artistic - like a master chef, a musician, or an artist. My brother (Niko) is left handed, and he loves to play the guitar, plus his logic is usually based on his emotions, so I guess it's true for him.

I'm right handed, but I do have semi-acute motor skills in my left hand. Whenever something is coming at my head, or I need to catch something, usually my left is the hand that moves for the instinctive snatch. That's probably from kickboxing and basketball, since we work hard on training our "reverse" side. Lightbringer is the same way, as we discovered a few weeks ago. See, whenever we go to the movies, he'll buy me a giant superball out of the coin machines and we'll throw it back and forth (after he cleans it off, because they feel really greasy after they come out of the machine) in the lobby while waiting for the movie to start. Last time, we ended up getting two superballs (because I was impatient and bought one myself) and we had them going at the same time; I'd throw to his right with my left at the same exact time he was throwing with his left to my right. Neither of us had too much of a problem doing it, although it did require a lot of concentration and timing.

And probably everyone just completely skipped reading that paragraph that had really nothing to do with the subject at hand, so I'll say that my creativity level is between an 8 and a 9.

I'm left handed, but, like many of my ilk, know how to do a lot right handed out of shear necessity. You right handers, with you backwards, torturous scissors. You’ll rue the day! YOU’LL RUE IT! RUE IT!

OK, sorry, I’ve calmed down now. I’m not very good with scissors using either hand, actually.

When I was in college, I also noticed that the engineering department had proportionally more lefties in it as well. It seemed like it was a fifty-fifty split. I’m not sure why that is.

Oh yes ... the scissors. I remember my brother complaining about them all the time. I also remember trying to teach him to tie his shoes. He ended up needing another lefty to show him. Good thing, because he'd be still wearing velcro ...

My problem aren't the scissors but the can openers...Err.... But hey, at least i play all my sports with my right hand (for the most part). But like Gypsy I train both my hands and feet to punch and kick. That way I stay versatile and can be able to switch stances anytime. I also do that in basketball a lot too. I can switch it up; it keeps people on their toes. Being able to tie my shoes, that's never been a problem for me. :)
