What Compelled You to Join CAA?

Nothing.

However, I was motivated to join CAA by the members I saw: their relationships in regard to both Christianity and anime. Also, there were a great many projects I wished to help with; I do have a passion for Christian manga and theoretically eventual anime.

A friend of mine told me about this site, I came as a guest for a while then finally signed up. And I got a nice big warm welcome here! I'm gonna say right here though (even though my friend will kill me) I didn't draw the asian girl she did, she told me to say it was mine I don't know why I did what she said, she did a great job with it. Oh well...I'll post more of her work and my work in the near future! Back on subject I got a nice warm welcome here and I'm lovin it here. I posted as a guest on VGMusic.com afew times and they aren't the nicest people. At first I was afraid it was going to be that way here, boy was I wrong!!

I love putting art online, that roped me in instantly. Other than that, total shyness about writing anything online (bad experiences with chatrooms, YEARS AGO, and I'm still scarred). The Christian thing was a huge plus, because it meant, if nothing else, a form of accountability.

You've won me over, though! Here I am, in love with this site after what... a week? Less? (yeah, less) You're so friendly, everyone! This site is a work of art, both visually and personally. I'm overwhelmed by your coolness, and hope to stick around long enough for it to rub off!

I was feeling very a little distressed one day about how well, non-Christian a lot of the anime community was on all the sites I visited on the internet. So I just randomly typed "Christian Anime" on a Google search, and guess who popped up? :wink:

It was so awesome to find a community of people who shared my interests and beliefs- I just had to join! (Suffice to say, this is the most active and longest time I've stayed with any forum. I love you guys!)

I found it by doing a google search under "christian anime" I previously thought there was no such thing. But I am glad I found it. I am new here just a few days now, interested in hearing what ya all got to say.

Could you clarify what you mean by such? Our forums are primarily for Christians (though we welcome those with other beliefs), but part of our intent is to create Christian-produced or Christian themed anime/manga. These things are not explicitly evangelical, but they do reflect our worldview to others.

What compelled me to join the CAA? Well one day about one year ago, I suddenly got interested in anime-style art, found htdm.com, and soon afterward started searching for christian anime, which turned up this site, which is one of the best things that google's ever done for me :grin:

I found the link to the original CAA on a friend's site and I though since I am Christian and I looooove anime...I should join!!! So I did..but then they raised a new site..which is this site so I joined because I was a member of the original and I wanted to be a part of the new...But I was actually very nervous about joining though because I had heard that forums and chatting were very dangerous..but I'm safe so far!! ^^

I wanted to be able to come to a place where there were Christians who liked anime..... not like some sites where they all have bad language and no morals in their choices of anime..... ^_^'

This is what I look for in a forum:

The site was young (check), there were no adds or spyware (double check), Star Wars and Video game fans (check) and a nice group of Christian folks and mods (check). O'yeah, and some really funny members (check).

CAA raised my bar on forum expectation. Now, I'm spoiled.
