Talk about anything in here.

English, and I'm learning Spanish in school. I can pull apart some Italian and French, as they're fairly similar to Spanish.

And when I write I get confused over sentence structure.

I am just beginning my third year of the language, but I am disappointed at my current progress. The second year I took of the course had a very inefficient teacher, and we were taught next to nothing. Fortunately, this year I have a very good instructor, and I think I may be able to have applicable skills by the end of this term.

Um, let's see. I can understand Spanish, can't speak it all that well. I know sign language, can't understand it that well, but I can communicate with them at least. I used to know a few Japanese words and phrases, but I don't remember too many anymore. And I know a few words in Elvish. At least I used to. And obviously English. Lol.

I can also speak gibberish fluently.

I'm also planning a language for a game I want to make in the future.

Let's see, how does this sound?

Kornalda = Welcome

Takana ga hala jonsha nan? = What are you doing today.

Hala ga kanka jonsha dan? = Where are you going?

すごいですね?

Tribal Swahili is all i know then I guess, it has three different tonal clicks that appear in some words, but then again, I could be thinking of some completely different language and be calling it Swahili by accident.

Me too! My parents used to be missionaries in Kenya, and I've seen the Bibles they used. It was the plain ol' English letters. :thumbsup:
Um, here's a basic word:Jambo. It means hello. Is that in your Swahili?

I picked up some Swahili phrases when I was working with some missionaries. It's a fun language to speak.

English, and enough Spanish to be considered fluent....I simply don't have as large a vocabulary as I'd like and often stumble looking for words even though my grammar's all right. ^^;

Thanks to Spanish, I can read a fair amount of Portugese (I am part Portugese, too, maybe I have helpful genes :P) And it's been helpful in my Latin studies (I dont take a class, but read up a bit on my own).

Next on the list is Greek...I'm part Greek too! XD I suppose the interest in my background is a big part of my desire to become a polyglot.

Ahh, me hablo ingles mas que espanol. Pero se solo un poco de espanol. A veces, yo se hablar muy bueno. Soy una estudiante ahora. Estoy en mi segunda ano de estudios en espanol. Pero tengo que estudiar mucho...

No te preocupes, solomente gusto a practicar mi Espanol cuando yo puedo. ^^; Es un poco divertido a ver que fluido soy ahora, porque tengo como dos anos que no pratico. Desculpame si tengo gramatico malo, soy una guerra*. :P

*guerra as in weh-da, a slang term for a blonde person. Not a soldier or a war. ^^;

May I be pedantic? :sweat:

gusto

should be "me gusta" -- gustar literally translates out to "to be enjoyable to". If you just wanted to say enjoy, you could use the verb disfrutarse though I tend to prefer gustar.

Empecé aprender español hace unas catorce años, en la escuela secundaria. (En la universidad, luego tomé cursos de la literatura hispana.) Hay rato durante que no lo usaba mucho, y por eso ahorita no estoy tan fluido como antes tampoco. Sin embargo, tengo muchos pacientes que solamente hablan español (especialmente in este parte del pais); por eso uso mi español más frecuentemente que antes y poco a poco estoy aumentando mi fluidez otra vez. La parte mas dificil era aprender las palabras medicales especificas.

I hope to know that much Spanish and stay in the class all four years like you did, Shooragin. Ahora, estoy en mi segundo ano y yo leo mi Biblia de espanol y ingles. I hope that will help me know it even faster. What better way to learn a language than read the Bible with it and English? I know talking is good too, and I hope to help out at a Spanish mission my church has.

Yes, getting a Spanish native speaker will dramatically improve your ability to speak.
