I am eternal. From eternity to eternity, both ways.

But anyway, welcome to the Internet - where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents (as the saying goes). If your age says 13, how do we know it's not 31, or 67? You can't tell age over the Internet, you have to rely on trust or apathy. You can't tell sex over the Internet - who knows, you might have, whether deliberately or accidentally, say, registered as a girl when you're a guy, or vice versa.

A guy I know came up with a very nice solution to this problem, though. "Unless I've met you in person, I will not believe that you are a man or a woman. Instead, I will choose to believe that you a hyper-intelligent chicken wing."
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.

[quote="Lehn"]Unfortunately, there’s always going to be a risk that there are a few bad apples floating around in a place like this.

I don't worry bout it much. I mean...you can tell when someone is a troll or not usually. I trust most of the members here.

I mean it is a Christian Anime Alliance after all. You have to worry about who the real perosn is behind the screen if you're in a chatroom, talking to them, or email. Forums are rather impersonal compared to AIM.

I don't give out my age. Only a few people here know it because I know them in real life. Hey, even if you're an adult, it's still not a great idea to state your age on the internet, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A FEMALE!

I watch out. Really, always be careful! And if you do tell your age, don't give out your last name!
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

Sometimes its not stalkers on the internet to worry about. Just this week in our area a woman was pulled over by a car that looked like a unmarked police car with working lights. The woman was asked to walk back to the car and was attacked. A unmarked county police car was also stolen from a police station within the pass 2 days but not the same car involved in the attack. The news media says it is easy for people to get police items off the internet with no questions asked. We in the fire service are also keeping watch over our vehicles and equipment because of Homeland Security request. So many things to worry about.

which is exactly why i don't let naything out. my first name maybe, som ppl know that, and hey i should invite some of my friends on here... well i tried to invite one but her parents don't like her joining things... but that's why i don't convers with a 101 ppl. i like to hang around with a selected group of ppl i've grown to know... sort of, and ppl that are friendly and that don't ask me a bazillion questions... except sometimes i find myself doing that and I stop my self thinking that these ppl i'm asking questins might think I'm after them, not the way I want ppl to look at me. That's not the way I want ppl to think about me. I'd post the list of ppl i'm ALWAYS hanging out with but i won't cause i don't want to singleanyone out or hurt feelings.

Hmm....I was never really worried about giving out my age or wondering whether ppl were faking theirs. It's their personality that really matters in the end.

OT: For my sisters out there, be "cyber-smart" (kinda like "street-smart" hehe) with guys you meet online, even those in CAA. We've got wonderful brothers here who are sincere and honest but I've heard of some who don't. Either ways, be on your guard.

In general, I try not to think about it.
Almost anything can be faked. If I recall correctly, (a member) has posed as a girl on other forums, and any one with a brain could pretend to be me.

For the most part, I count on the apathy of the masses. Who would want to stalk a 20 yr. old black guy?
