Well I am not
I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to death
Nor known to life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet these hands shall never hold anything
So, as I pray, "Unlimited Blade Works"

Unfortunately, there’s always going to be a risk that there are a few bad apples floating around in a place like this.
You’ve just gotta watch how much true information you let out; keep any personal details on the down low, and you’ll be fine.

I don't think its worth worrying about. There may concievably be a stalker, but what would they be using? The cloak of anonymity, but that is available to anyone. If you don't blab information that would be useful to such people to anyone (which is a very acceptable request on the internet) for any reason (respectable and legit businesses like Amazon being the exception), you have very little to worry about. Besides which, I recall seeing posters whom aren't teenagers, one who comes to mind places their age at 35.

I could lie, but that would get me nowhere and accomplish nothing. But it is hard to trust people on the internet anymore, you can never really know that person. They could say they are a 19 yr old and end up being some 60yr old man in Alaska :thumb:

Well I'll tell you I am 49 getting ready to turn 50. I am a firefighter/EMT which means I rode ambulance but don't ride anything anymore. So sometimes I have been on calls that have involved things that could have been where people were stalking people to hurt them or worse.
Sometimes you just have to do your best and let it ride but after awhile it gets to you and you have to decide keep going or stop and do something else to keep involve.

Sorry...don't feel like going to jail.

When I was in the Navy, I knew a second class in the pit who had been to jail before (for assault, or something I think). He told us what jail was like, and he said the quickest way to die in jail is to be a child molester. If word gets out that you're a child molester in jail, you'll be dead in three days. Guaranteed.

I guess even criminals have standards.

Yeah, I heard about that too, Kae. Child molesters are the lowest of the low on the criminal food chain.

This is why you don't let out personal information. My mother is constantly telling me stories about people who get into trouble for letting out too much information, so I make sure not to.

She gets on my back about this stuff almost every time I bring this site up. She's just being careful, I don't blame her.

Unfortunately there is always the possibility that there could be people here that are lying about their age, gender, etc. However, possibility does not equal probability, and I am confident that almost everyone here is an honest, sincere Christian.

And yes, that includes me: I am in fact a 19 year-old male from the great state of Virginia  .

I am old. Not Ashfire old, but old none the less. Of course, I could be a 10 year old girl, too. Who knows? Does it really matter? You should be careful about the information you share, but that is also true in face to face conversations as well.

There is a lot of dangerous people on the Internet...but not all of them are dangerous weirdos. Some are quite nice and others are just boring weirdos like me. I think it's a few rotten apples rolling around.

But still I think the younger members (no offense) should beware and never agree to meet someone, even from these forums, no matter how nice they are. Just a good way to play it safe. :thumb:

Wow ChristianFriend! I must be some kind of blob or something, because I don't worry about it at all! O__O;; Sometimes I think you can tell who is lying or not! But I'm not worried, because I don't give much informations about myself.. only some to people I trust! And it's not as if I am planning to meet up with someone here! But, maybe I should worry about it just a bit more.

Basically, I say what almost everyone else said - true, there could be stalkers so it's wise to be careful at [i]any[\i] site. If you're not comfortable giving out information, then simply don't. You should never be pressured to disclose any personal info, and if it's happening here don't hesitate to tell us mods and we'll take care of it immediately.

So use caution, follow your parents' rules (if this still applies, that is ;)), but you don't have to be scared.
