If you were an instrument...

Talk about anything in here.

Ah, but psycho-analyzing is so much fun.

I've already posted here, but I couldn't quite decide. As I was thinking about this and about to give up on the prospect of deciding, I realized that it was because I would not be some kind of man-made object like that. I would be a voice, a human voice. You can do so much with voice. It's an art and a tool. You can express such emotion with it and move and inspire people. For almost all of the characteristics that could make me want to choose something else, there is a singer or a style of music with singing that also could fit it. A voice can be so flexible and evocative.

Wow- I have heard every stringed instrument execpt a harp and a viola. I think I would be a viola because they are mellow and easily looked down upon or forgotten. You generally can never hear a viola in an orchestra (unless they have a solo or you have been playing in a musical group for a while), but you notice when they are not there. Violas usually play a variety of parts in songs (or life) too.

I am an instrument, although I'm usually just a "resource" at work. I am an instrument of God's love and grace, daily playing a song of his praises. Except whien I'm messing up royally, then my tune is not so sweet.

I was a percussionist for a long while, so it's got to be a percussion instrument, nothing else will do. They're the "odd ones out" of the band. I'd probably be a tympani because like the tympani I'm fairly versatile, frequently wound tight, and often feel beat. Sigh...

Violin: Hands down

I have been told that I am a deep person. A person capable of great love and great happyness and great pain. The violin can convey both. The violin just seems like such an amazing instrament and the sound can bring people to cry or laugh as long as it is played well.

I'd be a shakuhachi. ^_^
I play piano, but I've always been fascinated by flutes...I love the sound they make. They're so calming and pretty, like an afternoon breeze...

A trumpet, most probably. Because I blow on my own horn too frequently. XDD

Seriously, maybe a classical acoustic guitar. It takes a lot of finger dexterity and it involves two hands with each of the ten fingers moving independently, both plucking and pressing strings. Quite intricate and complex...something which I think is kind of myself.
