Battle Royale

has anyone here seen the movie battle royale or read the novel? its my current novel/movie obsession, and its amazing! great social comment too! its about this group of 9th graders who due to an authoritarian governemt's program are sent to a desserted place, *this time an island* to kill each other. the program has no point, really, at least not one thats made clear*i have my own theories on this* the last student standing wins this sick game, and its just well written, detailed without being too graphic..and the movie manages to keep the social comment from the book without becoming preachy, or losing integrety, and is for the most part faithfull to the book, if anyone has read it, say something!
