Well I posted this one on the Neko Con and my clubs email site.
If a Japanese anime character or characters were to appear on Teen Titans who would be it be?
One from the past or future, hero or villain and acourse a teen unless they have an older person involved with them.
I had put down The Hyper Dolls, Sailor Moon and Friends, Naruto and Friends and Cat Girl Nuku Nuku as heroes.
As for villains I was not sure how to go with that one.
I had a answer back for Astro Boy and Slayers.
Maybe there are others with some ideas.

Slade will be back. We have hints of it along the way in season three. I hope he does not become the Joker to Robin's Batman, but he is the best villain the series has.

This will finally be on topic: MorwenLaicoriel, I like your avatar. That combined with the user title creates the right image.

I hope that this is Slade's only appearance in season 3... they have to focus on someone new... probably that Brother Blood character.

I like it now. I didn't before. Thought it went overboard with some of the "anime" antics. But the story's gotten much more interesting.

The story did get a lot better... Especially when a character's beliefs or mind are explored. ^__^

In the middle times of the Batman comic series, he truly only had one antagonist: the Joker. Of the four or five adventures he would have each month, the Joker generally featured in four or five of them. The vast majority of Batman comics were all about the Joker.

Hence, I was stating that if Slade continues to appear and be the villain, it will degrade his quality as a villain in a similar fashion to the Joker's run of appearances. The protagonist for our purposes here is Robin. So Slade would play the role of the Joker as Robin plays the role of Batman.

That might have been a somewhat esoteric comment. I apologize.

I felt from the beginning the Slade had way too big a role. The Titans have a lot of enemies to draw from. Slade is certainly one of the best, but a little more variety wouldn't hurt.

Seen it too. So now is the question who set off the hallucinations on Robin?
Heres something to think about. Will sometime in the future Robin and Starfire get married even thou he will become Nightwing?
Just think of the offspring from this union.

I also wondered who was causing the hallucinations... Maybe it's Slade, maybe not. I've heard that he's not coming back in this season.

A side note: Starfire and Robin do make a good couple. :)

In the comics, Nightwing and Starfire (He was Nightwing by then) do get engaged, but their wedding is interupted by .... I can't remember, but it was interupted. Just another of the many hearts left ravaged and broken along the path that is **** Grayson's life.

That's too bad... Do Starfire and Nightwing ever have another chance to at least see each other after that? :sniffle:

I'm really into Teen Titans too, especially since they have gotten more serious with their plots instead of just doing the monster of the day. I just finished watching Aftershock today and I loved it. I hope the writers keep up the good work!

I forgot! I've seen "Haunted" too. Another great episode. Teen Titan writers...GO!

The first episode I ever saw was "Nevermore"... that was back in April and it was the first show that got me into Teen Titans.

Even so, Aftershock made me appreciate the show even more... So now I'm hooked ^__^!

For everyone that's reading this, what was the first episode you saw? Did it impress you?

oh, and on a side note: 120th post! woohoo!

Sure, they see each other from time to time, but their relationship is pretty frosty. But that's the comic book **** Grayson's history with women - from Starfire to Batgirl to Huntress and many others. I think it's a "thing" with the bat guys.

Edit: Apparently that version of the name "Richard" isn't acceptable.

I can't remember which episode I saw first and Haunted is probably the best one from an animation/story point of view, but Nevermore remains a favorite of mine.

I think that Nevermore is great :) . Haunted was also very good... it had a nice, mysterious feel to it.

Oh, and it's too bad that Nightwing and Starfire don't end up together. =(

Well, you never know. TV writers do have this little known but rather suprising habit of occasionally changing things, if you can believe it.

I hope that the writers work in some kind of believable relationship for the two of them, but it doesn't have to show them as adults.

The glimpse of the future we've already gotten was rather depressing.

That was kind of what I was refering toin my own sarcastic way. It's pretty common for comic adaptaions to drop extended storylines like that to keep things simple, though it's probobly not a coincidence that the really tragic ones are usually the first to go (for example: has any Spider Man adaptation ever mentioned Gwen Stacy? None of the ones I remember well did)

Besides, if they ever grew up enough for that, they couldn't call the show TEEN Titans any more.

Young Adult Titans GO! Middle-Aged Titans GO! Senior Citizen Titans GO!

...Yeah, doens't have the same ring to it.

Anywho, it's pretty obvious that they're setting up SOMETHING between Robin and Starfire. I mean, even never have hearing of Teen Titans before, and being unaware before seeing the show that it had anything to do with DC Comics, preticularly not Robin...well, I mean, they're building up something. It was really obvious on that one episode where Robin was forced to go on a date with Kitten (gosh, that's, like...one of my favorite episodes...so funny).

...Poor Grayson...first, he looses all the girls, and then his name is censored out.

Sorry if I'm going off the current TT subject, but, What's up with that last Terra episode we saw?!! Do you think they really did kill Slayd? I don't think so. In American cartoons, a big bad guys death is usually pretty obvious. I'm actually kinda dissapointed he's gone. He really added an edge to the show when messing with Robin and everything. Now it looks like they're just doing a bunch of filler episodes in order to get Star and Robby together. (it's so obvious!)

Hmm...well, it's possible Slade is coming back, if the last episode was any indication. Either that, or it's a new badguy who either worked with/for Slade, or at least knows about Robin's obsession with Slade. (Although...anyone with EYES could see that Robin is obsessed with Slade.)

I would imagine that if the characters grew up they would simply call themselves the Titans. No alliteration, but effective.

It would be cool if Slade was back, but stayed in the background for quite a while while other villains had a bit of time. If he came back for a series finale it would be much more enjoyable than if he became their endless antagonist.
