I have a few I will start with. I love good quotes, they can really brighten your day ^^

"I like to date tall girls, they are worth the climb." -person at school

"If you hoot with the owls at night, you cannot soar with the eagles at dawn."

"If carbohydrates were so evil, then Jesus wouldn't have called Himself the Bread of Life."

"If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." - Unknown

"Show me proof there is a God, you say. I say use your telescopes to look to the heavens, and tell me how there could not be a God!"

"They that know God will be humble; they that know themselves cannot be proud."

"People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within." (Elizabeth Kubler Ross)

"The strength of the pack is not the wolf, it's in the pack."

You can also add anime quotes you like too, I just have to find my file, lol.

On the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had acheived so much - the wheel, New York, wars and so on - whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But, conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man - for precisely the same reasons.

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not everyone is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the universe is said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and any people you meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

Both from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.

There are three kinds of people--those who know how to count, and those who don't.

An alcholism-free world; I'll drink to that!

War is cruelty, and there is no use reforming it--William Tecumseh Sherman

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom--Solomon

It depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is--Bill Clinton

I am a GOLDEN GOD!--Robert Plant

What we do in life echoes in eternity--Maximus Decimus Meridius

Reality is a crutch for people who can't handle drugs--unknown

"what does not kill you makes you strong"
Love is that feeling you get when a girl looks at you and it feels like your driving a car at high speeds and experience a sudden drop. You know what i mean? That sudden sinking feeling you get in your stomach? Yeah, that's love. Leave's you speechless everytime.

Here's Refdesk's quote of the day:

"The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.." - Elie

(While I don't entirely agree, there's few things that get under my nerves faster than apathy. If you ever wish to make me visualize kicking you in the head, just say the words "I don't care.")

I'm curious to see if someone is going to list my favorite quote. It's quite famous.

"Stairs only go down!" my RA

"A little more than kin and less than kind," Hamlet (and various other hamlet quotes also rock)

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it's own." Mattew 6:34

Those are some funny/good ones off the top of my head lol....these types of threads are fun!

one of my favorite quotable people is Corrie Ten Boom, a Christian Dutch woman who survived a Nazi death camp, which she was sent to for helping with an escape underground for Jews. she escaped the camp and eventual death through a paperwork error. here are some of her quotes:

'You may never know that JESUS is all you need, until JESUS is all you have.'

'Trying to do the Lord's work in your own strength is the most confusing, exhausting, and tedious of all work. But when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, then the ministry of Jesus just flows out of you.'

'Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?'

'When a Christian shuns fellowship with other Christians, the devil smiles. When he stops studying the Bible, the devil laughs. When he stops praying, the devil shouts for joy.'

'The life of a Christian is an education for higher service.'

'Perhaps only when human effort had done its best and failed, would God's power alone be free to work.'

'When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.'

Hebrews 12:14 - "Persue peace daily, and holiness without which no one will see the Lord."

"When they put unknown at the end of a quote, that means they probably don't no how to spell anonymous" -unknown

Anybody who sees and paints a sky green and pastures blue ought to be
sterilized." - Adolf Hitler

The road to happiness is always under construction. (Unknown)

Fiction is a tapestry, and fact is the thread that unraveled it. (Rokusho -Medabots)

Sometimes I feel like a nut. Ang...you ARE a nut...

Ranma: Uh Ryoga...let me ask YOU a question. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the place where we agreed to meet for the fight was the vacant lot behind your house, right? So why the heck did I have to wait for 3 days for you to show?!
Ryoga: Don't patronguize me! Do you think I was strolling around Japan for my health?! - Ranma 1/2 ep. 7

Women like silent men. They think they are listening.- Marcel Achard

Out of all the things I've lost in life, I think I miss my mind the most-Anonymous

One day 2 cats were watching a game of tennis. "Hey." said the first cat, " I didn't know that you liked tennis."
"Actually, I don't." responded the second cat. " The only reason I'm remotely interested is because my father's in the racket."- Anonymous

And...drumroll please...my absolute fav:

"Saotome! I will never forgive you! You stole my bread! You lousy theif!"- Ryoga Hibaki, Ranma 1/2 eps. 7.

WOW! Good guys!
Heres some anime ones and others I found:

"So much happens when this one is away." Kenshin (manga)

"If I knew I was going to die today I wouldn't have done my homework.." - Tenchi

"The more you hurt at the parting, the more it proves the depths of your love. If you always fear sorrow, you'll never be able to love at all" ~Belldandy

Tohru:"Why can't people stop envying other people? Why can't they see it? Their own beauty. Someone might be envious of you right now. Someone might be admiring something that you yourself hadn't realized yet. When I think about that, the thought makes me...it makes me want to try a little bit harder."

Sano: It's hard to be a hero with an empty stomach.

Goku: Whats wrong with you anyway? Everytime you smell danger, you go running away!
Oolong: Whats wrong with YOU!! You smell danger and GO AFTER IT!!

"Dude ! That's not funny ! I totally have a brain ! (pauses) I just don't use it much."
Said by Beastboy

Milly: "That happened to be my can of pudding! And you wasted it!!" *Pulls out Stungun* (Wolfwood: Whoowee!!)
"You should never get between people and their pudding!"

Legato: "The day it all ends is near. I advise you to make good use of the time you have left."

Rem Saverem: "The choices we make in life have unlimited possiblities. All I can do is think about them and if you keep your vision clear, you will see the future. What happens in our future is our own responsiblity."

Priss Asagiri(Toyko 2040): If you're trying to bore me, you're succeeding....

Vegeta: Being a good fiend is like being a photographer- you have to wait for the right moment.

“Don’t be so self-rightious! Do you think you’re the only one in the world who’s got a dirty past that can’t be erased? If you die here, do you think it’s gonna bring my friend back to life? If you’re alive you can repent for what you’ve done. There will be a day when you see your family again. If you die, it’s all gone.â€

"This is why I hate women!" - Tasuki, after getting the crap beat out of him while defending a female, Fushigi Yuugi

"You think it's that easy?" - Tasuki (getting the crap beat out of him)
"You think it's not?" - Tamahome (doing the beating), Fushigi Yuugi

"Well, I stopped hating women. Now I just hate whoever! HAHAHAHA!" - Tasuki, Fushigi Yuugi

"Luck is just one of my many skills!" - Isamu Dyson, Macross Plus

"Okay. We're alone now. Look, we're not children anymore, so why don't we split our butts?" - Sana
"You mean 'split our guts'? Butts are already split." - Hayama (Kodomo no Omocha)

"Why are you running away? It's me! It's me!" - Sana
"You just answered your own question." - Hayama (Kodomo no Omocha)
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I like these quotes from animes.

"Everyone must eventually die. Not even a sorcerer from another world can change that destiny." Cant remember which of the deities said that in rayearth OVA

"If love can kill people, then surely hatred can save them" Altena from Noir

"Love can kill prople, but hatred can never save them." Lady Odette also from Noir.
Absence is to love as wind is to a flame. It extinguishes the little, it ignites the great.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

Once you've decided on a course of action, only you can finish it. As long as you remember that, there's nothing you can't accomplish.

I'm not going to die; I'm going to find out if I was ever alive in the first place. - Spike, Cowboy Bebop
All right, I won't say I hate girls anymore. I'll just say I hate the people I don't like! - Tasuki, Fushigi Yugi

If you're joking, that's cruel, but if you're being sarcastic, that's even worse. - Duo, Gundam Wing
Men only think about the past before their death, as if searching frantically for proof that they were alive. - Jet, Cowboy Bebop

Faith is not creating a false reality, but acknowledging God's promises for us.

The dreams I dream for you

Let the old dreams die
Like stars that fade from view
And take the cup I offer
And drink deeply of the dreams I dream for you
