The Soviet secret police, commonly known as the KGB, actually had several different names throughout their history. These names in chronological order are:Cheka, GPU, NKVD, and KGB.

Search Engines and my computer don't mix.

This is from my globe in my room. Russia borders the following countries:

Ukraine, Kazakstan, China, Mongolia, North Korea, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Lithuania, Lativa, Estonia, and Finland.

If I get that wrong, here's one more thing so I can stay in the race.

Siberia is in Russia.

The terrifying moldy bread incident! In elementary school, Yomi's leftover bread started rotting inside her desk! you can't imagine what happened! Not only that, but the mold had a will of its own, it was terrible! Barricading ourselves in the science prep room, we used spirit lamps and engaged in combat! Then I realized it!! If we only had the bottle of mildew remover from the bathroom, we could destroy them!!

The Trans-Siberian Railway is the longest rail-way in the world. It was designed in 1891 by Czar Alexander III, "completed" in 1905 by his son Nicolas in time for the Sino-Japanese War. At the time of it's initial completion, it had only one track so trains could only go one way at a time!

Everyone has checked in except for Mangafanatic. We'll give her until Friday at 9:00 PM. (Termyt, you'd better hope she checks in, because you're out if she doesn't!)

I don't understand, I thought all we had to do was not be the last to answer. Mangafanatic may not be checking in because she's out regardless. At any rate, I'm not the last to check in, so why would I be disqualified?

Shoot, I'm out. Oh well, here's a fact for de kiddies anyways.
The Ural mountains are located in Russia.

And, Termyt, you owe me man. ;)
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

To Termyt's objection: I realized that after I posted, but I didn't have time to edit it. So, even if Mangafanatic had not checked in you would not have been eliminated.

Then I'd like to be re-entered in the competition as the "AMAZING RACE ALL-STAR!!!" Come on, who would want to miss the episode where that chick who lost out to Termyt gets to come back and reclaim her rightful place as queen. It would rank up there with the most riveting of TV moments--- like that time that Charrissiterity found out that her step nephew's dog was really her alien boy friend's evil twin. It would be timeless.

Well, um, my people will be. . . . in touch. . . with your people. . .

. . . . . whenever I find out who your people and my people are.

No. I suppose I wouldn't. The second time around, I guess I'd just have to beat you. It would be hard, but I'd push through it somehow. . . I know, I'm a trooper. ;)
