I'm going to go to east europe-one day

Postby Jaltus-bot » Sun Aug 29, 2004 1:02 pm

I've kind of been going some thinking about what I want to do and about what kind of person I want to be recently. I have long had something of an interest in East Europe. I used to wonder what it was like in the USSR when I was much younger. I have always been interested in either East Europe or East Asia. I think that as long as I am willing to do it, I am going to go to East Europe someday. I believe I am. I have no idea what for, maybe St. Petersburg. Who but God alone knows? I wanted to share that with you all.

I hope you do eventually go there, and that you enjoy your trip. I've never been east of Munich. I've heard some very nice things about the Ukraine and Moscow, as well as parts of Romania.

I'd have to agree with Swordguy. ^___^ I hope you make it to East Europe one day.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

There are many spiritual opportunities in that part of the world. I know that God will use you in a mighty way there.

Not that we want to ship you off right away! Of course, you'll always be near us as long as you can access the web. Russia is a huge mission field with a great potential, so I know when you will go (as an "official" missionary or not), you will have a great impact on the people you meet!

I've always wanted to visit places like Austria, Germany, Russia and stuff. My mom says I have the traveling bug, lol. But I'm only 21 and have already been to India, Nepal, and Northern Ireland, so maybe one day, Lord willing, I'll be able to spread the Gospel in places like Russia, or Thailand... I'd love to go to Japan too!!! Lol. I could prolly just point at a place on a map and be happy to go there... well... with the way things are in the Middle East, might want to steer clear of that area if I can...

That's cool, sounds like you've had this in your plans for a long time. I hope God finds something really great for you to accomplish there!
