Interesting... a 129. I guess that means I really am "normal". Darn...

Uhm, I'm not sure anyone here is fully normal, not that that is a bad thing.

Actually, if I recall correctly, 100 is supposed to be the normal score.

Below 70 is retarded, and 90-109 is average.

Interestingly, the terms "moron" and "idiot" are also derived from the IQ scale. I believe idiot is beneath 40 or 50 and moron is beneath 20. At that level a person is nonfunctional.

This IQ test is terribly flawed. It appears to grant roughly two points per question. In any case, no one should base their IQ off a forty question test on the internet. It just tests a few minor skills.

My result was a 142 (Visionary Philosopher), but I wouldn't put much stock in it. I'll be checking something else in a moment...

EDIT: I was right. The test does not factor age into the result, which a true IQ test would do (though not past a base of sixteen). That certainly doesn't speak well for it.

Congratulations, Shinja!
Your IQ score is 135

Your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician. This means you are gifted at spotting patterns — both in pictures and in numbers. These talents combined with your overall high intelligence make you good at understanding the big picture, which is why people trust your instincts and turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

is 135 good?

That's right. It's an Intelligence Quotient . It's supposed to be your mental age divided by your physical age.

I've taken this particular test before. And every one's right... scores tend to jump around and change all the time. What, am I a genius one day and a moron the next? Yeah, don't think it's reliable...

Thank you; I had known her IQ was above 200, but I was curious as to her exact score.

What I have always been curious about was what a theoretical maximum score would be (on a real IQ test). At the minimum age required to take the test, acheiving a perfect score. I am uncertain as to the highest possible mental age, so I cannot know.

I think this test takes a base number and adds two points per question. Has anyone gone through the test and tried to get every answer wrong? That shouldn't be difficult, but it would be time consuming.

Congratulations, Ashli!
Your IQ score is 135

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Visionary Philosopher. This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns. And that's just some of what we know about you from your IQ results.

I was 142 in the last one I did, but that one probably didn't have as many math ones.

Not that time consuming though. I may have gotten one right, I can't figure that one out. This is what I got.

Your IQ score is 72

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Inventive Inquisitor. You have the unusual distinction of being equally good at math and verbal skills. This means you are a creative thinker and are uniquely good at teaching others through experiences. You are also a great improviser and very good at handling change.

Wow, being inept never sounded so good.
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
