The face of much doofiness...:P

Postby Madeline » Tue Sep 07, 2004 4:34 pm

When I smile, I go like this "^^", but it doesn't seem to work in the real world! It just doesn't have the same effect...actually, I look like a complete doofus. :bang:
It's such a bad habit! I try to stop, but whenever I let my guard down I do it anyway!
I ought to just staple a sign to my head:

"If you see me squinting, have mercy on me. It's not my fault my eyes aren't big!!!"

Gah...does anyone else have this problem?
*hides*

Maybe I should just quit smiling....*grabs trusty big floppy hat and hides under it*

Don't worry...I look like a doofus no matter what expression I have on my face.

*lol* I do that sometimes, too. I don't know if I look like a doofus when I do it, because when I look in a mirror, my eyes are closed from the smile! XD No one has told me that I look stupid, though.

I've been told I smile too much. ^___________^ <-- me when I smile

So, rejoice in your doofiness, one day it will make others smile back. ~_^

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

1. "At the end of the year, you will have laughed so much that your face will be stuck in that position!" -my friend at school.

2. "Your movements and actions remind me of "Fruits Basket"?!" -another friend at school.

3. Sometimes, I do close my eyes when I talk! I am trying to stop now..

Don't worry! I'm sure you don't look that silly! And we can be silly together! ^v^

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things... hey... the good things don't always soften the bad things; but vice-versa the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant." -11th Doctor

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

Since I don't like to actually speak intelligible words 30 minutes after waking up in the morning I grunt words.

Wait a sec, Jimbo...I just noticed you're from Indiana. Yeah, I know, I'm on the ball, aren't I? Do you ever get made fun of for saying pop instead of soda?

? I say "pop" alll the time! Who says soda???? j/k

I've been trying to smile with my eyes closed, but it doesn't seem to work right. My mouth is so flat that when I'm smiling, without showing my teeth, you can't tell if I'm smiling or frowning! (lol, not really) Now, I'm in a habit of saying "Oro?"
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

I've been saying "Nani?" more often. ^_^ Not to mention quoting Vash and singing his "happy" song around the house. My parents think it's hilarious.
