Fun stuff in your room! (pictures can be added as well)

Postby Mr. SmartyPants » Sat Sep 04, 2004 3:20 pm

hey, i figured that i would like to share some stuff in my room that I feel especially unique about. I took some pictures (sorry that they are very blurry, my quick-cam isn't too great) You guys can share as well ^_^

some naruto ninja figuries i bought at places, currently right on top of my tv (i had to move it to take the photo)
Image

my copy of a freeloader and Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 2
Image

a Konoha forehead protector and a chocobo plushie
Image

Ninja chocobo!
Image

Endless waltz gundams (toy figurines)
Image

Tallgeese II (model) I like this casue it was my first attempt to correctly paint a model kit, and I'd say for a first time it was pretty decent
Image

Rx-78 Nt1 (Alex) vs Kampfer!
Image

The starwars figurines that I like the most, what's special about these are that these are from the Kenner collection, not the Hasbro one. So basically they don't sell them anymore. From left to right is Han Solo in a Stormtrooper disguise, Boba Fett, Lando Calrissian in a Weequay disguise, Master Yoda, and an Imperial Gunner (the fire the turbolasers as well as the death star's main weapon)
Image

does this scene ring a bell? Hint: episode 5, at Bespin
Image

and a tofu plushie i got at otakon
Image

my ddr pad (soft pad) that I taped over a plastic mat that office chairs roll on

Ninja chocobo! Yay!

I don't have any pix of my room, but it's competely trashed right now so it's probably for the best. I have a LOT of statues though including a limited edition Naru-chan wearing a towel! Hee hee! I'm not sharing!

Um, a unique thing in my room, besides me-lol-, is this little chair made for an eight year old girl. I need desperately to get rid of it, but haven't. It is actually very ugly, but still unique.

Something you just don't see everyday is a guinea pig in a fish tank. No, I'm not joking.

To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things... hey... the good things don't always soften the bad things; but vice-versa the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant." -11th Doctor

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

My large collection of gaming consoles.

Let's see:

NES
SNES
Genesis
Game Gear
Sega CD
Sega 32X (Which I have no games for)
Dreamcast
PS2
Gamecube

And not to forget the Game Gear and Game Boy Advance.

I want to buy a N64 some time so I can enjoy Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask again. (Regrets ever trading in N64 :( )

My bookshelf, crammed with games, strategy guides, and anime (and non-anime) DVD's.

My almost perfect collection of Sonic games.

One Rurouni Kenshin manga!

A Dilbert Wall Calandar.

Japanese keyboard.

Ah.... can't think of any more at the moment.

I'm waiting for the addition to be built, so I don't have all my furniture set up or all my boxes of belongings unpacked.

I have plans drawn up for my room, though. I'll have my fouton and a bed in there. The fouton will be used like a couch in front of the tv. It'll be fun.

I have a few pokémon figurines from when the pokémon people were handing out eon tickets at Toys R Us stores. Those are cool-- even cooler because they were free. ^_^

Uh... Nothing, really.

All my interesting things are in my art room, and I don't have a digital camera...
But I suppose my most proud decoration in there is a Vash The Stampede figure done by mcfarlane , wich cost me 30 some bucks... It sits on my desk, pointing the gun at you.

Hopefully there are no fish in there... That would be bad for one or both of them. :eyebrow:

Weird things in my room... I have a miniature green dresser, sitting on my real dresser. 'Twas a gift from the mother-in-law. o.0

I have a big photo of a wolf, which I framed myself, hanging above the bed. Large feathers hang from leather cords at each upper corner of the frame.

I have a blue natural-feather fan that I bought at the Ren Faire last year. (It was a very hot day, and the fan was very pretty!) :)

I have a mahogany jewelry box that I made myself (which is harder than it sounds!). I woodburned a Lakota medicine wheel symbol on the top, and set semi-precious stones at the 4 directions and the center: white, yellow, red, black, and green. That's pretty. Wish I had a picture to show you.

Interesting things in my rooms? That depends on the room...

In my dorm room I have a dvd/game tower filled with PS2 games and movies. On the top shelf of the tower I have a Mighty Max playset (the giant lava beast one, in case you're wondering) that guards the whole thing. On my desk, I have a 5 lb. bag of gummy bears :thumb: .

In my room at home I have a topographical map of a piece of property that I surveyed a couple of years ago that was given to me while I was working for a surveying company as a summer job. Other than that, I have a couple of Gundam models (Deathscythe, Wing Zero, and Altron), a Zoid model (Berserk Fury), and a huge transformer (Unicron).

Yeah, I still have my Mighty Max toys (including the skull head  ). I pretty much have all of them (including the ones that McDonalds offered when they were popular), although the bigger ones are by far the coolest. My personal favorite is the cyclops with the giant eye creature and mini iron maiden  . If only they made toys that clever today...

My interest in them was recently rekindled after reading an article on http://www.i-mockery.com about a giant 45 family yard sale, where the author found some Mighty Max playsets among the old toys. If you want to read more about that, here is the link:

http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/45yardsale/default.php

There might be some bad language in it (in text form, not like audio or anything), but I can't remember.

I remember Mighty Max! I was never allowed to watch it though.
