Different-Good or Bad?

Talk about anything in here.

I'm totally an introvert. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being introverted; that's how God made you. The difference between introverts and extroverts, as someone has explained, is how we recharge. My husband is an extrovert. When we're at a big social gathering, he's getting charged up and I'm getting drained. I usually want to leave earlier than he does. But we understand each other, so we can usually compromise.

It's not good to be alone all the time, though. We do need other people in the body of Christ.

As I'm thinking about it, I'm thinking about Jesus. There were times when He was surrounded by lots of people, teaching and healing. There were times when it was just Him and His closest friends (the 12 disciples). And then there were times when He went away to be alone with the Father and recharge. It seems like He had the perfect balance.

i also am introverted. people are always asking me if i am upset or angry or depressed, simply because i choose to sit in my room or listen to music with headphones on. i too dislike being in large crowds, and don't really like unnecessary physical contact (especially when it comes to people spontaneously playing with my three feet of hair, without permission >.<). i do like spending time with friends, but am also a small group person; large groups tend to make me nervous. luckily most of my friends are fairly introvertive as well, so i don't catch much flack from them. my family mostly lets me be on my own, but when people come over to visit, they will force me to interact. the time i spend by myself i don't really consider to be by myself, but time with God, especially since i am not being distracted.

[on a similar note, i am currently having fairly major problems with my college roommate, who doesn't understand my "introvertiveness" (and doesn't try to). she thought i was mad at her for listening to music with head phones on, as well as several other situations... but oh well, we are hopefully being switched next week - prayers in the meantime would be much appreciated.]

infact, i didn't go to a switchfoot concert at the state fair yesterday because I dislike crowds, loud noise. much you would expect at a concert. I passed and all my friends were baffled on why I didn't go

soul alive! I don't really like unnecessary physical contact either!

I'm very anti-huggy. There's those types of girls that hug each other constantly without even thinking anything of it, but I am certainly not one of them. I don't even really like hugging my family. (except my lil brother, cause he hates it)
