Who hmeschools or has homeschooled?

I've been homeschooled my whole life as well. I most likely will stay that way all through high school, until I go to college.

There sure are a lot of homeschooled kids I've been homeschooled since 3rd grade, because my parents didn't like the public schools in our area. A certified teacher comes to our house once a year to see what we've done and makes sure that we're doing everything we need to.

Here's my schooling life story. o_O

I was born in Florida. I wanted to go to school so much, I went to Preschool a year early. The Preschool teachers said that since I started a year early, I would have to do Preschool twice. I guess they didn't want me to grow up being younger than everyone in my class. I went to a Christian school until first grade, but then, we moved to Colorado. We found a great Christian school in Colorado, but that year, it was already full. For second grade, I had to go to a public school (which I didn't like very much). In the middle of second grade, my mom took me out of that school and homeschooled for the rest of the year (If I remember right, I think she just didn't like that school very much.). In third through half of sixth grade, I went to the Christian school I talked about. In the middle of sixth grade, though, we moved to Arizona. We didn't see any good Christian schools that we liked, there, so we decided to homeschool. A few years later, we moved to New Jersey and didn't even look for a school, because we loved homeschool so much. So now, I'm going into ninth grade and have been homeschooled for about four years.

I was homeschooled 1st thru 3rd grade and then off to public school where I would have failed miserably if I didn't go to a private school in 7nth grade. Then in 11th (arg, what' it called again? ack, whatever) I went back to homeschooling and finished that way.

Homeschool isn't for everyone, but it was for me.

I dont know about other states but in mine the public schools try to regulate homechoolers to an unhealthy level. Several years ago they said that homeschoolers could not participate in sports at puplic schools. so all the homeschooles all went to the private schools for activities. at that point the Public schools got jealous of all the homeschooles that private schools had on their sports teams, so they made a rule that said that home schoolers had to take their sports at public schools and that they could not be on official private school sports teams and drama teams, ect.

They dont like home schoolers and want to controll them in any way that they can!

This should be stoped somehow!

So now I'm a senior even though I should have graduated last year. But I'm not bitter. Oh yeah, I now go to public school and I like it a lot.

Yuck, that sounds a lot like Pennsylvania. That's why we made sure when my dad got a new job that we moved to New Jersey, not Pennsylvania. Here in New Jersey, we don't have to tell or submit anything to anyone. The only downside is that public schools don't have to let us participate in anything of theirs. Back in Arizona, it was awesome! Homeschoolers were aloud to participate in public school activities, and the only controling thing was that we had to tell the government that we were homeschooling. I took a Spanish class and was on their basketball A team. The school was perfectly okay with that, and they all treated me nicely. It was so cool!

I was homeschooled 3rd through 9th grade. Back to public school my sophomore year of high school. Graduated Valedictorian. Maybe that was from homeschooling, or maybe all the smart people slacked off for the 3 years I was there.

Colorado is kinda like that. We have no obligation to the public schools. And we shouldn't, we're separate. They're against us anyway, so why should they have authority over us?

I'm happy there are so many homeschoolers here.

I've been homeschooled for all my grades. I was in public for pre-school, but that was it. Now graduated, I'm taking chemistry at home(didn't have time for it during the year I was supposed to take it.). I plan to take college at home, 'cause I'm not a classroom learner. I was homschooled for PreK, K, and First cause they thought somthing was wrong with me but i jus had bad hearing, and ADD hahaha which has all improved. Im in 10th Grade in Public school

Hi! I was homeschooled 3rd 4th 7th8th and am still being homeschooled. I do better on tests the years I'm homeschooled actually. There's something to be said for homeschooling. The other years I went to public or private schools (we move a lot). I gotta say a lot more people homeschool now.

I went to public school all the way through. Yay for socialization. A guest pastor at my church really irritated me about that. He said that you should never send your children to public school. Homeschool is best and if you can't do that then send them to private. And don't send them to public school because that's practically handing them to Satan. T_T

What made me angry about that? He was implying that if you send a child to public school they'll turn against Christ. I did not. I went through public school and turned out quite well. I was very well adjusted, I was able to interact with those who believed differently and who were different from me, and I was able to share my faith with others instead of staying in a veritable bubble. Already had that "bubble" in a sense as I was very much over protected. I recieved a good education more or less, too. But what really took the cake was the effect teh man had on my littlest brother. After the man sat down, J turned to me with this very worried and confused look on his face and asked what was wrong about public school. My answer? Nothing. Not a single solitary thing. In fact, that's the most plausible way for him to be a witness to others right now. And I told him so.

I've always been homeschooled, and I like it! I'd hate to go to a public schools, yuck! Who wants to be picked on and have lots of homework? And government schools try to brainwash you and take God out of everything.
