What's your style?

Postby FunkerVGirl » Tue Aug 24, 2004 6:38 pm

How does everyone dress in here?

I like a unique style. I make my own stuff up. I dont know, but something about making an original outfit feels awesome. I recently got into the whole lolita thing. I think its cute. Some visual kei clothes are okay too. My inspiration comes from japanese fashion

here is a pic of a pair of boots I own. If you guys have any pics, please post!

LOL thats my aim, to dress like an anime/manga character. One time i dressed up in this outfit I made up and one of my friends said that I looked like I just stepped out of an anime.

Keep at it! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Well I look pretty "normal." Khaki shorts, jeans, tshirts, whatever I'm your average looking guy. I'm not trying to make a statement or anything. I do love me Ranger tshirts, Bruce Lee tshirts, polo shirts, button up shirts, and my track jackets though.:)

Um, I wear t-shirts--when I'm not cold--and modest shorts. When I am cold, I just wear a warmer shirt and jeans. Nothing special or unique or whatever. I'm a tomboy so I hate dressing up.

I wear a 4 ring watch band (With a watch on it of coarse) on one arm, a pyrimid braclet and cross bracelet on the other.I usually wear cargo jeans (huge pockets on legs) with a wallet chain , and I prefer button up shirts with a collar, sometimes I wear them buttoned, sometimes I don't. I have spiked hair (Sort of a like the haircut Fuma from X has, just a bit shorter.

My clothing color preferences are pretty much limited to black, dark blue, and white.

I try to dress in simple and functional, yet stylish clothes. Usually this means a t-shirt and jeans/shorts during the warmer months. When it gets cold, I switch to button-up shirts (and sometimes I wear my Freddy Kreuger sweater to mix things up  ). The only jewelry I wear on a daily basis is my watch, since I like to know what time it is :P . Color wise, I tend to wear lots of blues, some greens/reds, and a few browns (with khakis).

My basic philosophy on clothing is that if I couldn't run 100 meters in an outfit, wearing it would be foolish :thumb: .

I HEART lolita fashion.. (especially "elegant gothic lolita" ^^) but I have very few lolita-esque clothes. I buy a lot of my clothes from antique stores, a lot of which is made circa 1900, so quite a few of the articles I own aren't in perfect condition, as they're susceptible to rust stains and dry rot.. not too mention holes -_-; ) my mom is pretty good at fixing up what isn't in too bad of shape.
I also LOVE mary-jane style shoes. I have 10 different pairs o_o; I'm thinking of selling some on ebay since there's a few pairs I've hardly ever worn.
When I don't go all out in Victorian attire (which I usually save for going somewhere special anyway), I always wear make-up (couldn't live without red lipstick, gold glittery eyeshadow, and lots of mascara), and I love to dress in long skirts with an appropriate top (usually something frilly)

Ooh, and I've really been into black-and-white stripey stockings lately... *_*
But yeah.. I love fashion.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Cargo pants and a black anorak that I wear everyday, even in the summer. Under the anorak a colorful blank t-shirt. Because the anorak has two giant pockets, I tend to stuff a book in the lower pocket and a C.D. player in the upper one, its quite a functional piece of clothing I must say.

Yay! Fun forum!

I have a lot of different styles because I try to make friends with just about everyone. But my main styles are:

Teen girl- Aeropostale girl-cut shirt (or some store kind-of like that) and mostly dark blue jeans. [I am by no means a girly-girl or prep, so don't think that. I am the biggest tom-boy ever!)]

Sporty- Athletics shirt (basketball, track, cross-country, etc.) and athletics shorts (Go Hornets!!! ^.^) [I'm not a jock either, I just like sports!]

Whatever- My favorite navy hoodie and cargo jeans (For when I don't feel like doing anything)

Accessories- My not-such-a-good-luck-charm shell necklace that almost never leaves me, I used to wear cross earrings all the time before my earring holes grew back...I think that's it.

Shoes- White tennis shoes, flip-flops, etc.

Etc.- I NEVER, under absolutely NO circumstances will wear make-up of any shape or form. I also don't like to wear dresses, and my mom almost has to force me into a skirt. *lol* I mostly wear khakis and stuff as dress clothes. I have highlighted hair, too...I guess that doesn't really partain to this...*lol*

dude, FunkerVgirl, your boots rock it hardcore. I've always wanted some like that.

I used to dress very punkish in highschool...big-legged pants, chains, short spiky hair. I also wore a lot of coloful bracelets and this beat-up black hoodie with a "Capsule Corp" logo badly sewn on the back of it XD I also wore a lot of band t-shirts and anime shirts.

nowadays I just kinda wear whatever though. wearing cool punky clothes is too expensive -__- I like flare jeans and cute button-up shirts. I'm also fond of gray or black pants.

I've always wanted to try shopping in a thrift store...that sounds like fun.

Wow! Those are some cool boots...
I don't dress anything like that...mostly because
1. I don't have the money
2. I don't have the time to put on so many accessories
3. I'm not bold enough
Sometimes I wish I could...I used to dress all in black, but now that I'm in FL I gave that up. I've found that lighter colors look better on me anyways...like lavenders, yellows, light blues, navy, dark green, spring green, and burgundy...and it helps my mood.
I sometimes wear things that bring back memories. Hand-me-downs from my friend when I was little...these t-shirts looked like cloaks on me before!
Long, comfortable-fitting dresses with floral prints look and feel good...they are light and comfortable. Sometimes, when the weather is cooler, I put on my pair of black boots (high-heeled and not too comfy when walking, but fine for around the house, to church or co-op) and a skirt with some thick dance tights under them. I have one that I like in particular...it's got a rosy, beige and orange hue with all kinds of neat patterns on it and one that stands out in black...it looks kind of asian.
The cut itself is neat, it's all jagged...
I have a neat pair of canvas-looking jeans that I favor. They're a tad bit too long for me so they hang over my foot and look cool. ^^
I have a neat shirt too that I got at Target. It's very soft material and very light, and the blue looks really pretty with my eyes. I have two pairs of loose-fitting pants that look like something a colonial person would tuck into their boots...awesome and loose-fitting.
I guess I'm a little more obsessed with clothes than I thought...I usually don't think about them much...at least not for myself. :red:

I usually dress like a bum. Not because I want too, but because I've had the same clothes for 3 years

So the poor and middle-class should go naked? Somehow I think that that statement could be refuted by one word. That word just might be "weather".

And I usually wear jeans/khakis and a t-shirt/polo shirt/button shirt - I tend toward "practical and hard-wearing", with periods of "business-attire".

I wear shirts with skate/surf/band logos on them, and jeans. Shoe-wise, I usually wear my Adios or Chucks. I also have a Linkin Park chain wallet which I love dearly, a checkerboard bracelet, a white shell necklace and my favorite O'Neill belt. Nothing too special I don't guess, but I like it.
