? If so, what will you be wearing? I'm most likely going, so I'd like to meet some of you.

Awww, I wish I could go to something like that :sniffle: I don't have anyone I could go with. How often are these held in Atlanta? I don't really know a lot about anime but I bet it would be cool to see all the different characters. If you take pictures how about sharing a few with us? :)

I will be going. I just have to get back on what I will be wearing. I don't know if I will cosplay or what this year.

Every year. Its about the last weekend in Sept that they hold AWA or Anime Weekend Atlanta. Its the biggest anime con in the southeast.

It is? My friend told me about it. I honestly don't know very much about it, myself. Also, it's on the 24-26 according to a website. They also have the Japanese Culture Fest at Stone Mountain on those dates.

Yep, this the 10th year running. It started out in October, I think in 1995 in a small Hotel & Conference Center. The con has moved around a bit because it got bigger. In 1997, there was 1,350 people that showed up for the three day con. In 2001 it was moved to Georgia International Convention Center and Sheraton Gateway Atlanta Airport, had 3,150 people showed up. That is when it started to come the biggest con in the southeast.

I started going to the con in 2001 and I like where it was out because it close to where I live. But after the 2002 con, it was moved to the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria Centre in north Atlanta and we had over 4,584 people.

Also, it's on the 24-26 according to a website. They also have the Japanese Culture Fest at Stone Mountain on those dates.

It is, it use to be held the weekend after the con and they were thinking of moving the con back to Oct next year, so that people could go to the Japanese Culture Fest.
