Beware of Ouija boards! Scary experience...

Talk about anything in here.

Yup, in 1st Thes. it refers to death as "fallen asleep". It says "and we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep." Then it goes on to describe the Rapture. So dead people don't just wander around on Earth. There are no such things as ghosts ^^

Edit: They don't burn? O_O oh gosh thats freaky.

I think I once in close proximatey to a demon. It was at a christian camp, too. (I thought it was weird that the time, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. I mean, where better for a demon to attack than a camp full of Godly people.)

Well, one night, one of the female counselors, Tara, had a dream that she'd been murdered. The same night another male counselor, David, had the same dream. It left David so shook up that he left his cabin to go check on Tara. In the meantime, Tara woke up to the sound of the cabin door being banged on fiercely. All the cabins are dead bolted shut from the inside. Naturally, all the girls are screaming their heads off, and just as Tara was going to go to the door, it burst open. And what's on the other side? Nothing. Nothing at all. Except that it smelled like something had died right there in front of the cabin. David finally got there with a flash light, and when he check out the door, the dead bolt had been broken.

I was in another cabin, but they're all within teen feet of eachother. It was so scary. A bunch of kids that week claimed they saw angels. Oh, I'm jumpy just thinking about it. . .
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Lol trust me guys that thing burned alright alot of gasoline and one match made it go pretty quick. I wish I had a digital camera or at least a camera with film in it so I could show you guys the new Oiuja Burn from Parker Brothers. It's just a burnt husk of a box and a bunch of ashes now. That's why I burned it instead of throwing it away because I knew he would try to sell it in a garage sale which I didn't want. My dad got home halfway through my burning the board and thought something was on fire. I was just squatting by it laughing at myself and then I explained to him why I was doing it. I told him that the cardboard and the piece of plastic are not in themselves evil but using them for evil purposes is what makes them so scary. Like trying to conjure up the dead and such. He just shrugged and said close the windows so the toxic fumes don't come in the house.

Now guys again I don't think the piece of cardboard and plastic indicator are literally in themselves evil. But if you're playing in a dark room, early in the morning, and trying to talk to old granny thats where the thing gets to be scary. The reason why it probably didn't burn in some of your stories because demons had literally possessed it. I consider the Ouija board a tool for demons not an actual demon itself.

Well it was thrown into the fireplace and it was SCREAMING. Maybe Yojimbo's burned because nobody had been conjuring demons when he threw it into the fire. But the one that didn't burn had just been talked to.

oiuja boards are a scary reality... especially that they are being sold in retail stores everywhere, and that young kids have access to them to "play with" at parties. kids playing with a direct 'telephone' to demons while thinking that they are talking with their dead grannie is quite scary.

in our culture, it seems that belief in ghosts is encouraged, but belief in demons is looked down upon. but they are there; sadly, we are just taught that the 'scary things' that happen are caused by ghosts and the like, and laugh off any suggestions of demons. in the book "The Screwtape Letters," by C.S. Lewis, 'Screwtape' says something along the lines that not believing that demons exist is worse than believing that they do, that not believing in demons doesn't stop them from doing what demons do... it only enables them to move more freely.

when i was younger, i used to read a lot of those creepy "ghost stories for kids." (they are in reality quite frightening and gory, with equally scary illustrations, and i would not recommend them for actual kids, or for anyone who gets wigged out as quickly and badly as i do  ) one of the books had a description of how to do "bloody mary" in it - "you stood in front of a mirror in a dark room, with all doors and windows shut, blinds pulled down, and stuff like that; then, before the mirror, you say the words "bloody mary" thirty or forty times, and a ghost should appear; according to the book, different ghosts would appear, but you had to be careful, because some of them may be "angry spirits" and try to attack you, so you should have the light switch in close reach, since light would banish them." thankfully, i never tried it myself, and have no desire to - i don't want to invite 'something that could attack me' into my bathroom mirror... just for a thrill.

Oh...when I was little I tried the "Bloody Mary" thing. I don't remember much except suddenly I got really high-strung and totally freaked out (I saw nothing), then started feeling terrified and ran out of the room, shaking. I went into my bed and it took almost all night for me to calm down. Nothing happened, I just totally flipped...it was weird.

We're living in a house with my aunt and uncle, who are pagans. I think they have an ouija board somewhere but I don't want to find out. Their living room is filled with pagan stuff and I can't walk through there are night. If I do, I get really upset. Also it happens if I'm in the garage at night. But I can walk anywhere else in the house fine. I'm not at all afraid of the dark so it's not that...I don't really like to hang in the living room when it's nighttime...luckily we're moving out next week so I'll be somewhere a lot better.

Yeah, and they aren't to be mistaken with "demons" in some Anime (like Inuyasha). Some kids will think that demons are like Sesshoumaru and stuff and won't be worried, but one has to explain that Sesshoumaru is very different than real spirits...one of the problems I have with little kids watching Inuyasha.

stories like that make me glad that i got wigged out too easily and was too much of a wimp to try things like that (and still am for that matter). i did think about doing 'bloody mary' when i was little, to invite my two dead grandmothers into the mirror to see them, since they both died before i was born, but i talked myself out of it. i hate things like that, especially since i have always had nightmares so horrible that i wake up screaming, too afraid to go back to sleep, and too afraid to move, i do not need to scare myself that badly when i am awake.

my house is creepy enough without inviting in things like that on purpose. my dad has this story that when he was little, and was living in the same house we do now, he was laying in bed, he heard the back door open, something feel its way in along the wall of the room next to his, then feel its way back out, but no footsteps...

Pagans are people who worship multiple gods.

That's creepy...the board flipped itself over? O_O Good thing. Ha. If I'm ever at a party and one of those things is brought out, I'll wait a minute then yell "IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, BEGONE!" and see what happens...

You wanna know something really sad? When I was living in California and about 8 - 10 years old I saw my first Ouija Board. And you will never guess where I saw it. I went to Sunday school and the Sunday school teacher had brought an Ouija board and Tarot cards. Before class started he let the kids play with them! I stayed in the corner, no matter how much the kids begged me to play with them. I knew it was wrong and I couldn't believe that my teacher had brought such a thing into God's house. He also had like little buddah's and other idols. When we started the lesson, all I can remember was him saying that he wanted to give us a feeling for the things but that we should never take them seriosly. The lesson, I think, was on like stuff that can take your attention away from God. Now, I wouldn't have minded it so much, but he should never have let the kids read the instructions on Ouija board and Tarot cards and then let them play with them. *shudders*

He brought it to church! O_O oh, wow... Even if he hadn't known about the Ouiji board, Tarot cards are bad enough.

Edit: btw I figured out what'd I'd do if there was an ouiji board at a party. I would pray for God to protect me first then ask the people to ask the board how it felt about Jude 6 and Rev. 20:14-15. Then maybe go home.

IMO, the things written by an ouija board cannot be trusted because Satan and his demons are out to decieve.

A long time ago one of my friends knew a girl who was planning to bring her new, metal ouija board to a Christian camp. Needless to say this friend wasn't pleased, and decided to pray against her decision. Just before we left she went to get her ouija board and found that it had broken in two. Pretty good if you ask me :D

However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

"The Magical Talking Board"-- what a piece of sales crud.

I guess from a marketing perspective that makes sense though. . . I mean, if it said "The Demonic talking board" it probably wouldn't sell very well.

Yeah. "Talk to demons that will move things around your house and try to break in at night!" :eyebrow: That's what it SHOULD say...

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
