Hey everybody... I thought it would be fun to find out what our favorite quotes are....

mine is:

Albert Einstein in an interview with George Sylvester Viereck. The Saturday Evening Post:
October, 26th 1929. The Curtis Publishing Company.

"Jesus is too colossal for the pen of phrase-mongers, however artful. No one can dispose of
Christianity with a bon mot... no one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence
of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life."

What Neo says at the end of the first Matrix film:

I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid. You're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here, to tell you how it's going to begin. I'm going to hang up this phone and then I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world, without you. A world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries. A world, where anything is possible. Where we go from there, is a choice I leave to you.

Those words (to me) struck a parellel with evangelism. We are telling people what Satan doesn't want them to know. This message gives hope in a world where the odds often seem against us.

the entire series is like a whole big quote.

This world is overflowing with sorrow. Its people are drowning in emptiness. Loneliness fills their hearts.

See my signature.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

"You know what? Some of the cards we give out are just pointless. When we give someone a card with a picture of a flower on it that says 'I hope things get better soon,' we're consciously burhsing someone off with sweet talk in a very hard time. Now, what they SHOULD make is a card with a picture of a platypus and an apple playing checkers. On the inside, it would say 'Life is messed up. Learn to deal with it.'" -Some comedian

My favorite quote is prolly the one from my pastor, but I can't exactly remember the exact thing. "If you aren't qualified to do what you're doing, then just work on being qualified."

Then there is a quote from a fan story I wrote: "Don't diss the toothpick."
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!
