Hey can you come up with a "time spent/wasted/enjoyed" list for each game? :) just teasing. . . you don't have to really. . .

Might as well go all the way huh so make it a rusty spoon!! And with bad games I prefer to stick it in the lower part of eye cavity to cleanse them of the horrors I witnessed.

For great video game deals, Ebay is my source of choice. I have bought several games over the course of the summer, all on Ebay (and all for the PS2, as it happens ;) ).

Here is the list so far:

Used/Opened:
Gran Turismo 3 - $7.50
Prince of Persia - $10.00
Splinter Cell - $10.00
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - $38.00 (ok, so that one was only a dollar under retail, but I had to have it :P )

New and Unopened:
Samurai Warriors - $34.00
The Suffering - $25.00
Mega Man Anniversary Collection - $23.00
Tekken 4 - $8.50
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance - $13.99

Total cost - $169.99

Retail value - $270.00

Money saved - $100.01

That retail value factors in games with greatest hits status, with all prices rounded up to the nearest dollar (i.e. $19.99=20).

On top of that, I have never once been conned, burned, or otherwise inconvenienced while using Ebay, despite what some people seem to think about it.

I haven't played Dark Alliance 2 yet, although I want to. In fact, I was looking for the second game when I bought Dark Alliance 1, but couldn't find it for a decent price. From what I hear, DA 2 has better multiplayer features and more variety of character classes.

Of the action RPGs that I have played on the PS2, the best so far is probably Champions of Norrath. It supports 1-4 players on or offline, with several distinct and interesting character classes (warrior, ranger, cleric, mage, shadowknight). It is challenging, and tons of fun when you have more than one player working cooperatively.

Speaking of co-op rpg's has anyone here gotten a chance to pay co-op on Tales of Symphonia, the new rpg out for gamecube.

Mega Man Anniversary Collection is an excellent game, and a great bargain at only $29 retail. I have not tried all of the games on the disc, although I have played Mega Man 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8 before on the NES, SNES, and PS1, respectively. I am trying to beat them all in order, so at this point I've only played Mega Man 1 on the PS2 version  .

Man, I wish I had the oppourtunity to play games as often as I used to. Now i play maybe an hour a week....

Mega man X X2 5 and 1 and 2 for game boy is all I have played. Well I have also played 1 2 and 3 of the NT warrior type games. Battle Network I think. So, I think you are doing better with just the oppourtunity. :)
