If I had USD8,000,000,000 I'd be able to jumpstart my kunitori by about 8-10 years. And without frying myself like Shishio Makoto.

Initially, a tithe of $800,000,000, to be distributed to a great, great many organizations.

Given the fact that thousands of children die each year from viruses that cost no more than five US cents to cure, I'd probably set up a fund for doing that.

Beyond that... I'm not sure. I think with millions of dollars The Fall might have a bit more power behind its movements. There are also some other projects I would love to hire professional artists for.

It would make my college costs feel a great deal less great.

Tithe of course.

Hmm . . . the money? I would get a good solid education. In what I don't know.

ANd spend it, because having it would become a liability. I would need all sorts of insurance and such.

spend it on getting a good house in okinawa or japan. Then build a couple churchs, and generally get the evangelization underway. . :)
Maybe even build a library and fill it with manga. . . That would rock.

The other thing I would do would be to start a brewery. Yes a brewery. Heck it would be fun. I would try and get this one recipe from City Brew that my dad liked. For some reason they said it was a one batch job and would never make it again . . . he said it tasted like baked bread fresh from the oven. . . Umm. . no I currently do not drink!!!!!!!!!!! I am waiting till I am 21.. . whoa . . . umm what else would I get..

A RX-8 car. Like the one on the initial D games. Then I would soup it up a little, paint it forest green and give it all sorts of extras.

Thats all. :)

Most of it would go to worthwhile charities like World Vision and Tear. The rest would go to my family and me. I would buy a nice house, car, all the Tintin comics and merchandise, all the good anime and manga I could, all the dvds and cds I like and all the books I love to read.

I forgot to add that I would fund a CAA con.

IN JAPAN.

I would fly people in, pay for their hotel, and I would get L'arc~en~ciel to rock out at the con and stay afterward to have their pictures taken with any girl [or guy, for that matter] who wanted to. And I would bribe Five Iron Frenzy into coming back together just this once and ska'ing out at the con as well.

I would also fund $100,000 dollar shopping sprees for several of the girls I know, and I would fund the restoration/tricking out of a friend's old '67 or '68 Mustang. then I would buy a '70 1/2 GTO convertible and trick it out for my dad and I, and buy him any airplane he wants, and I would buy two motorcycles [a Sportster for day-to-day and a BMW road bike for long trips], pay my own way through college, go to Japan and learn from several manga-ka [I would have to take Ree-chan too, or I'd never hear the end of it ^_~], donate a heinous sum to MegaTokyo, because it was the webcomic that really inspired my foray into artisthood, fund several overseas trips for me and my friends [including Japan, Scotland, and New Zealand], and finally . . . I would open up a modest [but darned well-funded] anime/manga shop where I would showcase Christian works and sell random Japanese items at cost [because I wouldn't need to make a dime from the place].

And I would buy Ree-chan a DS, because she doesn't have one. ^_~

I'd build a really well-equiped blast shelter including my own underground home, set up a college fund for my family and (possible) descendants, and split the remaining billions between the church and important research projects.

(If I didn't earn it myself (aside from birthday money, and stuff like that, but I'd never amass 8 bill from just that), I'd donate it all to charity because I have no use for it.)

(If I earned it myself... I don't have a clue. O_o I have issues spending money... I still haven't spent all my birthday money from last year.)

(edit after reading Rai-sama's post: I'd forgive you if you didn't, though I'd still be sad... And don't worry, I'm getting that DS after the iPod video... ;) )

Funny. I'd give a ten percent tithe. Pay off my immeadiate family's debt and then secretly pay off my relatives debts. Then I would be a really really nice piece of land in Illinois, an hour out from Chicago and build a country style home there. Country style meaning the architectural style. And I want a Corvette Z06, red as well as a new Chevy Suburban 07. I would put money aside to pay for my college debts and for when I retire. Then I wouldn't know what to do with the rest of my money and I would give it away to organizations, family, dojo, random people that need it basically. Of couse they would never know who gave it to them cause that would wreck everything for reasons unknown.

That's a looooot of money. But I'd have some ideas on how to put a dent in it.

First, I would put half of it in various banks to acrew an incredibly large amount of anual interest for the rest of my life, which I would donate as I recieved it to various charitable organizations and causes. I would set twenty million aside for adopting children and builing a home large enough to house them (I'm talking a lot of kids here. I have friends who did this, and they adopted 32 kids. Totally awesome IMO.) I would then set aside one million dollars for each child I adopted in seperate bank accounts, so that by the time they were grown those accounts would have earned enough money to provide for each child for the rest of their lives. Beyond that, I would use money to start some kind of a business (yeah, I know, with all that money I wouldn't need to work, but I think I'd want to. I've always wanted to do design-related things, and you could start a killer business with that kind of money.) And then I'd have a lot left over that I wouldn't immediately know what to do with, but I'm sure things would come up. Whatever remained unused by the time I died, I'd dole out in my will.

That was fun. :-P
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Uhhh....

I would probably use 1 billion just to book Poets of the Fall for a North American Tour.

The rest I would use to build a tracked armoured house. With a jacuzzi on the roof and a pooltable... somewhere.

I'd like to say "Oh, I'd give it all to blah blah blah," but I'll be straight up honest with you.

The very first thing I would do with this money, is se-cret. XP All I will say is someone very dear to me would be receiving a huge present. XD

Next, I would put a couple of million in a bank account of some sort. I would never touch this money, merely live off the interest it obtained.

With that done, I would probably see what worthy charities were out there, and divide the remaining cash accordingly. Probably give some to places like the Salvation Army and Red Cross as well.

Oh, one last thing. I would definitely set aside a large amount of money, and buy everyone on CAA plane tickets and have an actual CAA convention. That would be supremely awesome.

Hah! Nate beat me to the punch about the CAA convention thing.

Let's see... I would deposit 7 billion into a savings account and let the interest make more...

then I would invest the last 1 billion and try to double or triple it.

Put more money into my company, pay off my college debts, along with a select few people's. I'd take great pains to make sure no one could ever find out about my inheritance, as it always leads to trouble.

I'd invest a good chunk into exponential growth bank accounts...set up a number of binding accounts that would increment 5 years apart, so I would never live without relief in case something terrible transpired. Otherwise I live off the interest.

I'd donate to various charities yearly, and donate my money towards programs I support in government.

All the while I'd travel the world, see and live how I'd feel like with my fiancee, probably retiring at the age of 25, and having a number of "retirement homes" all over the world.

I'd do anything I've ever dreamed of.

Once all that fun stuff was implemented I would take it upon myself to remain a scholar for life, as I love studying and seek to ever expand my perspectives.

With 8 billion dollars, you could buy your own country!! (....almost)

I would put it immediately into the bank to generate copious amounts of daily interest and probably do the 'randomly hand out $100 to people' thing.

Or, build a brand new colourful shiny factory right next to some sweatshops and put up signs around advertising employment positions with $50/hour pay rates.

Oh yeah, and a Porsche Techart GT Street. And one for my brother.

I would buy a library. It would be at least five stories with a basement or two. I'd live on the top floor, with a game room on the bottom level. It may or may not have a bowling alley. That'd be a billion or so.

Next, I'd buy The Strand, and give all the employees a raise.

Deposit one billion in a CD, invest another, and live off the returns. As much as needed of the rest would go towards paying off debts, toys, and trips.

Oh, I'd also go back to NYC and hand out $1000 bucks to anyone that asked for change.

I wonder if that would be possible with 8 billion. I'm almost guessing not, but I don't really know.

I would probably set aside some for college and a small house and pray really really really hard about what to do with the rest.

Well if I won any good size of money I would think about what to do for my family like build a housing complex with a house for each of them with a center building for family get togethers and entertainment.
Build a family bussiness like a hotel/motel and convention center complex with a shopping mall complex with many styles of stores connected to it. Hey maybe a amusement park along with that and a private airport big enough for a large airliner to land at.
One thing if I had alot of money I think alot of bachelorettes would seek me out for marriage but I will decide who meets the right to be my bride.
I will donate money to different needing orgazations and churches.
There maybe more I would have to think about.

Easy, I'd open three savings accounts with 2 billion dollars a piece in them. I'd live off the interest given from one of the accounts (Imagine an account which yields 6 percent annually, that would give you--what-- 12,000,000 dollars?). The interest from the other two accounts woudl annually be given to charity. The final two billion would be spent paying off the house payments for people I'm friends with or who are in difficult situations.

Gosh that would be fun.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
