My nightmare.

My nightmare.

Postby Tidus20 » Wed Jul 14, 2004 5:37 am

Last night I dreamed that there was a giant monster just outside severn. I could'nt make out the colors considering how far away it was. But for the size of it, I would say that it literally amile high. It looked like the ice monster from the movie "Hercules". But I have'nt seen that in a long time. (and I doubt a Disney could give anyone nightmares.

Anyway, for some reason me and my family were sitting and looking up at the sky when I saw something to my right move. I saw a very large shadowy figure with glowing eyes that were easy to make out in the dark. I said "look" and pointed to the figure. I ran with my family. Everyone else checked to -(When did there get to be everyone else ? )-see what we were running from and decided not to scream in fear of provoking the monster. As We-(me and my family)- ran, we quickly entered a hospital that isn't there in real life because we don't live behind a large hospital. And when we got to the back door, we ran towards my house.

The door was strangely flimsy and it wouldn't close or lock and I just relized the hinges of the door were on the right-hand side. Then my dad was the last family member come inside. It must have taken a long time to get inside because the monster was right infront of the hospital. The police were trying to calm down the monsterAnd a whole lot of other people were around the large hospital.

The monster picked up a few people in it's mouth and spit them back out. I fear of it getting me next, I forced myself to open my eyes.

That's a scary selfconscious, Huh?

I had a dream that I was stabbed in a vicious high school knife fight. I went to heaven, where there were alot of blues and light earthy tones (heaven has a KICKIN decor designer). I went shopping and bought Gatorade (light blue) and Wheaties (earth tones). I don't even like Wheaties, but in heaven, you just don't care anymore. An angel was the cashier. Then I woke up.

In one nightmare i had. i was being chased by some kind of shadowy figure. I had finally stopped to take a breath by a motor home by a lake. a friend of mine, (how he got there? Idon't know ...) stood on a hill about 10 feet away from me. He started to scream at me, "C-GIRL!! (i will not tell you my real name!! MWAHAHA!) LOOK OUT!! HE'S IN FRONT OF YOU!!" I scanned the area in front of me but i could barely see anything because it was night. Finally i saw it, the dark figure, he was holding a red sword and walking towards me. I knew it would be too late for me to run.. but than i thought to myself... this is just a dream.. so istarted to scream, "WAKE-UP!!! WAKE-UP!!! THIS IS ONLY A DREAM!!" After all my screaming i finally woke up. >^^<; Lol.

I think it's really odd when you know it's a dream in your dream.

I find it weird that some people have to try so hard to wake themselves up when the dream's getting ugly. I mean, as long as I'm aware it's a dream, I can easily wake myself up any time I want, just like turning off a switch (actually, it feels more like being pulled or sucked off from another reality).

And sometimes I don't want to wake up.

Sometime I'll wake myself up on purpose, even if it's a good dream, just to see what time it is; then I'll go back to sleep continuing with the same dream. That's just odd...

This is the only dream I can recollect ever this was years ago so it might be a little disjointed. I'm in some old stone house and there's this shadowy guy standing in front of the fireplace. He picks up a rocking chair and throws it at me hitting me in the leg and knocking me down. (Why it was a chair I don't know lol) I run out of the house limping and grab a motorcycle in a garage nearby. I'm then driving through a very twisted looking forest that creeps over the road. In the middle of the road are two people a man and a woman. They both have long orangeish red hair, no pupils, some kind of white armor, and rapier swords. They were speaking without moving their mouths and saying things I couldn't understand. Well then I ran the hell outta there lol. After that I either woke up or can't remember anything more.

I rarely ever have nightmares. And if I do, they don't usually scare me anyways, so I guess calling them 'nightmares' may be questonable. Usually the worst I have is a BioHazard/Resident Evil related dream. (I wonder when I'm going to have my first Silent Hill related dream?)

But in the rare instance you DO realize you are in a dream, you can actually conform it to do whatever you want. This has actually happened to me before. It's a heck of a lot of fun.

has anybody woken up in a dream and think that you're ACTUALLY awake. It's wierd..... Because when you actually wake up it takes you a moment to realize you are awake.

Yeah I know I've done that too. Sometimes when I wake up from a dream I have that falling feeling always creeps me out there for a second.

I once dreamed that aliens had taken over the bodies of everyone I knew, and they were after me next! :eh:

But, forunately for me, I woke up. Unfortunately, however, I had actually woken up in the dream, and the same scenario I had just woken up from proceeded to happen all over again.

I have alot of dreams, and they tend to come in waves. Lately (after I got my sinus infection and was sleeping more) I've been having tons of them. I think some of the worst one's though are the ones that should bother/disturb/scare you but don't. When that happens it kind of just gives me this bland, far away feeling because I didn't really even feel weird about it.. craziness.

It's odd, but I have dreams when i'm half asleep sometimes. I'll look up to the end of my bed, and usually there is someone sitting there or standing doing something. Then I blink and wake up completely, no one is there.

I know what you mean, royalwing.. only mine are more "audio" where yours are more "video"

Often times when I feel as though I'm just seconds away from being totally asleep, I could SWEAR I hear someone saying my name, right in my ear!

It really startles me and actually it kinda creeps me out.

I once had a dream when I was little. I was in this house, and it was kinda dark, except for the light of the TV. I remember seeing my mom going out of the supposed living room and closing the door behind her. I followed her. Behind the door was this hallway. It had a door at it's end and turned to the right with another door next to the first door. Both doors were open.
The room on the left had a light on and my mom was in there playing with my baby brother (well, he was a baby at the time). I think I turned away and when I looked back they were both gone. I then remember going into the other room and the door closing on it's own. I opened it in time to see a hand closing the door to the living room.
I swung open the door to the living room and this lady with a bunch of blush on and her hair tied in a messy bun grabbed me. It was really weird because I think she also had on mascarra and a tutu o_0
She dragged me to the middle of the living room and then I saw this giant alligater(or was it a crocodile?) in a tux and top hat. Talk about weird:lol: I remember trying to bargain with him so I wouldn't get eaten but he had other ideas and tried to take a snap at me. I quickly kicked forward my feet in an effort to block him(how I managed to do that without falling is beyond me). Then I woke up and heard something come from the living room. At first I thought it was an alien but I checked and it was just my mom. Weird, huh?
I think I was kinda paranoid back then:grin:

I had a dream a couple of days ago that our house (it didn't look like our house, but I assume it was) was infested with hordes of black spiders. Too bad I didn't use that dream-controlling trick. I would have whipped out a Cross Punisher and, well...punished those dang arachnids.

I hate spiders, don't ya know.

I had one of those almost-asleep-then-suddenly-wake-up things where I was walking on a dock that had a wall along one side and a peaked roof. It was very dark and stormy-looking, but not raining. The dock went off the beach and a good ways out over the ocean. It was quite beautiful. Usually in my dreams, it's like watching a movie w/ or w/o me in it, but this was a first-person view. I remember seeing my legs as I walked. I got to the end of the dock -- and jerked awake. It felt like I was falling.

my dreams. i don't think i've ever actually finished any dream. it's always cut off somehow. and i have this dream/nightmare almost once every month or so, and it's always the same, but it never finishes!!!! it makes me so fustrated, i want to get the thing over with, but it just doesn't want to leave yet... i wish it would go away... all the same, one dream that's always interesting is the one when you're falling, and then you wake up. i wonder if it has some sort of purpose. so many people have that same kind of dream, so it has to have some kind of purpose...

I have those sometimes, but it's moreso where I've zoned out (the closest thing I can think of to sleeping awake) and for some reason feel like I'm about to fall off something really high. This is where my nerves come in: My muscles all jerk and I breathe hard for a second. Haven't done that lately though.

I love having those dreams where you can actually feel the good things in your dream like being kissed or feeling the water.

One dream I had back when I was about 9 or 10, I was joyfully running with my friends. There was a beautiful blue sky with whispy clouds. We ran through grass in some field and there was a cliff in front of us up ahead with a vast lake of forest a mile down but I was not afraid, I was having fun and when we got to the cliff we all jumped off. My favorite part is this and I can still remember it and feel it, I saw the trees below, my friends and I were falling and I could literally feel the wind against my face and body. I loved the moment and the dream ended where we landed safely on the ground by the wind and the leaves from the trees slowing us down.

Nothing can explain the way I felt about that dream, it felt like eternal peace, that I was flying.

The only dream I remember (the only one that made any sense) was one that I had when I was five.
I dreamt that my family and I were watching some cheesy horror film, and the room suddenly became filled with cobwebs and monsters began appearing, so we rounded up the neighbors and hunted them down.
After that, we randomly wound up on a boat and we cooked and ate the monsters.

And I haven't had a rational dream ever since.

I can wake up on purpose...

One time, there was a monster attacking a castle that I was in (actually, Tidus, it looked like the Hercules ice monster too except it was black ). I knew I was dreaming so I locked myself in a closet until I woke up.

I have a lot of dreams about black ice monsters...maybe because that thing was cool...

Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

I have always been a very vivid and cognizant (aware) dreamer, and I remember a lot of dreams. In fact, I had to un-condition myself from remembering dreams because at one point I was waking up 3-4 times a night and remembering a dream each time--it kind of interfered with my sleeping. I still wake up a lot but don't try to remember as many dreams. But I've pretty much run the gamut as far as dreams are concerned...dreams within dreams (I once had 3 dreams within a dream--woke up 3 times before I woke up for real, each time after a different dream), nightmares, recurring dreams/nightmares, dreams I could control, dreams where I could fly or had powers, dreams where I knew I was dreaming and either chose to wake up or didn't, dreams where I figured out how to "solve" them or wake up, etc. I've never had the same dream as someone else at the same time that I know of. I also haven't had many prophetic dreams, only a couple about a minor, nonsignificant occurrence that I was sort of thinking about anyway. But I could talk dreams endlessly--the subject fascinates me. I remember dreams from when I was 3-4 years old up to the present. Anyone ever wants to talk dreams PM me, I'm game.
