World War 2

Ok I had this esay on World War 2 before school ended. And i want to see If people had idea's on this I got an A+ and got a award for it! I love history and it's my best subject also i'm the best student in the high school!

Ok here it is

It's 1939 hitler invaded Poland. France and England declare war on Germany. Also Japan starts it's domination of Asia what do you do? wait or act and help now?

I would do this: I would first split America into two parts one side fights Japan another fights Germany. then I would declare war on them and help England and France. also it would save million of lives if I acting on this now.

Also people back then didn't want war I would make a speech about jews are getting killed and how Germany could win the war if we didn't act soon. Hopfuly that would help. The last thing I would tell them it would get us out of the depression.

i would attak the germians first and focus all my streath on them because the japanies will run out of resorces making them eaisr to to attak

Sounds great, but three problems:

1) Build-up
All three branches of America's armed forces were a shambles at the start of the war. You can't just jump in; at least two years, most probably close to three, would have to be allocated for training, building weapons, invasion plans and prep.

2) Politics
If you start or join a war without direct provocation, people get suspicious and angry, especially in America. (It happened to Bush.) Wilkie would have steamrolled you in the election, Roosevelt my friend.

3) Attacking Japan + Germany at the same time = SUICIDE
I can guarantee that with America's forces split, with Hitler not yet mired in Russia, France taken and North Africa getting 0wned by Rommel (coolest tank general EVER by the way), any invasion would be doomed to (eventual) failure. On this timeline, all the wrong things are happening at once. Roosevelt did the right thing by waiting until conditions were more favorable (i.e., when the Red Army is kicking German butt).

lol the japs would crush the usa if the US invaded japan, if we sent in troop into japan we would have to kill women and children cuase they will come at us soldier with kitchen knives and rocks.
