One Wish

Postby Jasdero » Wed Jul 14, 2004 4:00 am

I was just curious, if you could wish for one thing, either for yourself or for others, what would you wish for?

Me, I wish that my family would be at peace.

I would wish that everyone would be Christian (or at least have a chance to hear the Gospel).

*shifty look* Actually, it really would be to wake up next to Manga-Wolfwood. Not in a bad way, it's just the only thing I want.

A good textbook on Boundary Element Methods covering the newest approaches and with many worked-out examples from a wide range of disciplines. Either that or something to easy to get like world peace or something.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Ooooh! I'd wish for UNLIMITED WISHES!

Then I'd wish that everyone was a Christian, that pigs flew, and that I was half wolf...as for the rest, I'd wish that world hunger would end.

Oh and I'd also want a giant wolf...that I could ride...I've always wanted to do that...

Oh and don't forget that anime and manga characters came to life! (just not the bad ones. o_0)

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

I believe most people wish for that and that day will come. So it's more of a promise than a wish, I guess :)

Anyway, since that has already been wished for, I wish all good-spirited people could fly. That way, if an evil-hearted person tries to hurt a good person the good person could just fly away to safety.

LOL panegryst!

I think it would be kinda nice if Griff's wish came true though lol
it would encourage people to be good, aside from "letting people fly away to safety"

World peace and total understanding will come when we get to heaven guys, but for now...

Yes, that is one of my other wishes: to have more money. Just a little more where we could just go "Hey, I think I'll buy me a gamecube today" without having to save money for one. But, I guess God knows what's best for us more than we know ourselves.

In all honesty, I would wish for whatever God would want me to wish for. A wonderful way of dodging the question. Alternately, wishing to be a perfect Christian.

cbwing0's wish is my secondary one, as it conveniently solves any problems and is far more efficient than multiple wishes.

hmmm. I'd wish for more wishes.....I know...I just can't decide on one.

The whole realm of Yugioh to be real *'specially bakura, even if we could just be friends I'd allways have a dueling buddy* Yugi could rate my deck and I could duel whenever I wanted and not hafta worry about school and I could travel to Ancient Egypt.

If not Yugioh, I would want Gundams to be real and pubic space travel available. ^_^ ummm, what else?
That I could be a bit more trusting of people....
that I could not be such a procrastinator......
that I could transform into a wolf......
that I could have a wolf as a pet.....
that I could transform into a cat.....(why don't we just say transform into whatever animal I wanted...make it easier)
that I could have the ability to fly.....
.........that's all I can think of right now.......

Hey Bakura Fan! You can have wolves as pets but if you've got other pets, and you don't have a Wolfkeeping permit, it probably won't work out.

I want a wolf too. I'll have a few someday when I get a LOT of land for them and don't have cats. I researched them. They make good companions if you raise them right. There was a wolfdog when I was little that liked to chase me until I fell down, then he'd lick me and nudge me all over and I'd giggle and call him crazy.

However, yeah, that would be one of my wishes: loads of land and a wolf pack.

Hmm well I believe they rent them out. But the rates are atrocious I mean we're talking $850 an hour at best and that's just for an imp.

First, infinite wishes. Because I'm a loophole-seeking cheap little sonuvagun.

Second, I would wish that the entire world were like one giant anime.

Third, That we were all Christians, real ones. this would be retroactive.

Fourth, that the world had Final Fantasy-esque magic.

I've beaten this down into the ground, but I must say, if I had one wish, it would be that we were all Christians. As much as I'd like to wish to be able to draw very well, be very athletically built, or many other self-centered things, I'd give that up for everyone to be Christians. I have all eternity for the other stuff.

I would wish......

For everyone to have a great education.
To remove the world of ignorance, lust, greed, dishonesty, and hatred.
So there is a second Earth and move half the humans to that place (too many people)

I will post more later.
