Hey anyone seen this anime on CN???
I saw my first ep last night and it was funny.
Its continuing from .hack//sign and it carries on from the games as well.
Gotta see it!

.Hack//Twighlight is brilliant. I've watched all the .Hack stuff, it's all really good, exept from .Hack//Gift, which is a spoof thats pretty pointless & unfunny. But the rest of .Hach is top class anime. Twighlight is a bit less serious than .hack//sign, & the sountracks are all really catchy.

Yep. I started watching it a few weeks ago thinking at first that it was .hack//sign. I was pretty disappointed but it's not too bad. The only thing I don't like is how annoying Shugo and Rayna seem sometimes. At least Lord Balmung hasn't changed. ^_^;;
"So David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor."

2 Samuel 6: 21&22

"I am going to take this bucket of water and pour it on the flames of hell, and then I am going to use this torch to burn down the gates of paradise so that people will not love God for want of heaven or fear of hell, but because He is God."

Nope. From what I understand, that was what was supposed to be going on in the real world during the game.
This is an actual sequel.

Yea I like this .hack anime but one thing bugs me the most of this series though... Don't think its kinda wierd that the brother and sister are kinda secretly romantically in love with each other... :eh: Please tell me if I got the wrong I deal of what feeling are in the series.

The series that deald with the real world stuff, at the time of the game is .hack//liminality. .hack//twiglight (also known as .hack//dusk) is set about 4-6 years after .hack//sign, the games & .hack//liminality.

Umm, i don't think its that they are secretly in love with each other, it just seems that shugo & rena are at an age where they start noticing that sorta thing, as there growing up, if ya get what i mean.

You do have the wrong idea. *quote from Newtype vol. 3 no. 7*

moe= a Japanese term that refers to those feelings of yearning or admiration often felt woward a sister (or sister-like character).

That is what is going on between Shugo and Rena. Another example of this can be found in Azumanga Daioh between Sakaki and Kaorin.

On topic, I love all the .hacks.

I've really been enjoying the .Hack//Twilight manga, and the anime is pretty similar, though it adds a character I haven't seen in the manga (yet), Sanjiro. Twilight has a much lighter, funnier mood with cuter characters than SIGN. I think both series are enjoyable in their own way. Mireille cracks me up! Rare items!!

I watched a few episodes of .hack//sign and didn't really care for it. Caught an episode of .hack//twilight Saturday night and bought the first DVD volume. I really like this one much better. Must be the lighter mood.

They even fight monsters in Twilight! I'm sure all of the Sign characters were still level 1. They never did anything but talk!

I've enjoyed the whole ".hack experience" - even Gift!

nah, battles just weren't important to the story. In twilight they have more of a significant role. You know the whole protective brother thing.

I have the first dvd of .hack//twilight, it rocks. PLEASE PLEASE watch it in the japanese language if you ever get the chance. the voices are so warped in the .hacks, when they dubbed them. I cringe when I hear tsukasa in english, and the same is for shugo in twilight.

The only bad thing is that twilight gets into some of the gratuitus panty shot area of things. Other than that the lighthearted comedy and chibi characters make it extremely enjoyable. :)

I thought the dubs were both pretty good. Sure the voices didn't sound the same, but it was still a quality dub. (Although I admit, I watched a lot of it in Japanese).

I'm a huge fan of the whole ".hack//experience." I liked the Japanese language track on the games, too - although Mistral was more annoying in Japanese than in English (in a cute sort of way, of course).

Yeah they were quality in the sense that they matched pretty well to the lip movements, but as a purist I can't stand the voice alterations at all. . .
thats me though, so you can like the dub. :)

The japanese voices on the game were good too! But, I kept switching them back and forth for the translations. . . .:)
