Anno... has this topic been started already...? :red: I just don't see it is why I'm asking... :(

But anyway, I just wanted to see if there is anybody else here that watches this as regularly as I do... and just to see if there's anybody else who likes it as much as I do!

Good series, kinda long, I believe they are still showing it in Japan, and I like how they mixed the comedic aspect with the serious aspect of the series. (I've seen to about episode 72) Also, I would like to add that Naraku is very evil, one of my most hated villians, and the monk (forgot his name), along with Shippou, are hilarious.

I always liked it pretty good, but I've missed every single one of the newer ones they put on! Graaaaaaah!

Ah-hahaa... I must agree!!! ^^; I love Miroku and Shippou! :3 Miroku, even though he's a sukebe houshi-sama, he's just downright hilarious whenever he's around Sango! ^^;

Ok, this is where I'm probably coined a very very bad bad person. :sniffle: I still download the fansubbed episodes of this series. I just (for me) don't honestly have the money to buy all of the DVD's that Viz is putting out! And with 3 or 4 episodes PER DVD... that's gonna be a heck of a lot of cash to pump out, y'know? T___T But yeah, that doesn't justify much... I just plain love watching this anime!!! :( Not only the money factor, but just like Ranma... it's going to take Viz a VERY VERY VERY long time to get up to where I am, and that alone sorta saddens me. :red:

I've been watching this since it first debuted back in August 2000. (er, wait... was it 2000? Or 2001? >.< My bad.)

(I'm currently up to episode 123, and seen both movies)

Wow! How many episodes are there?! :wow!: I didn't realize the series was that long. For me, that's a good thing because I really like the series and that just means there's a lot more to enjoy. I've just been watching it as it comes out on Cartoon Network. I don't really have a favorite character--Sango's pretty cool, and I'm waiting to see how InuYasha's character develops.

Right now in Japan, I think they're at something like 125 or 126 episodes! I know... isn't that insane?

And get this... the MANGA still isn't finished! :eyebrow: Takahashi is still writing the manga to this!!! So there will be even MORE anime episodes to come! Right now, the anime is like 2/3rd's through the manga, if that gives you any idea! The anime seems to be true to the manga so far (minus a few add-ins here and there -- "filler" episodes :shady: )

Ooooo, are you a Ranmaniac too? (I coined that term! It's all ME! ... I think.)

Sixth season box set comes out 9/16. Already have my preorder in :)

I just love Inuyasha!! :jump:
 orange simley=me blue smiley= inuyasha :brow:
I've seen the serie up to episode 24 now.
I'm downloading the fansubs.... I know, I'm an evil outlaw but I've got no choice, it's the only way for me to see it. If it was shorter I would buy the DVDs instead but I think it has 123 episodes or something like that.
let's say it has 5 episodes per DVD, so there would be about 25 volume and it costs about 25$ each. I would have to pay about 645$, plus the taxes it makes 690$
You get the picture...
Anyway
Inuyasha is awesome!

I enjoy InuYasha alot...although I really want the movies to release to America soon because they have all of the better information...like the fact that InuYasha keeps having his Kikyo/Kagome problems really gets on my nerves! I mean, Kikyo's dead! Anyway, I also prefer Miroku and Sango a good couple, although some sick person made up the Sango and Kohaku shrines that follow me everywhere! I mean, Kohaku is her little brother! Please! Anyway, Inuyasha is a good series, Ranma is cool too, I like Rumiko Takahashi's anime...although Urutsai...uh err, with Lum in it wasn't so good, Oh well that's just me!

I will admit that Urusei Yatsura is an acquired taste, and you really have to devour the liner notes to get much from it. It is a notoriously difficult series to translate, since so many of the jokes are not only impossibly inscrutable Japanese puns, but are very topical and cultural as well. AnimEigo has done a very good job with it thus far (just wish it were dubbed so I can have it on in the background instead of having to have my eyes glued to the TV).

There is one movie they don't own, which is Beautiful Dreamer (the second). I don't know the quality relative to the AnimEigo subs (it's a USMC dub), but I'll be purchasing it soon. Otherwise, AnimEigo has the USA rights to the entire series, OAVs, movies and all.

Once I thought that Inuyasha was Sesshoumaru and the other way around too...then I thought that Sango was Kagome and that Shippo was Sango's pet...

I just saw it last night, for the first time...it was the Soul Piper one...sooooooooooo strange! @_*

However it was also very funny! Shippo turned into a pink floating blob and bit Inuyasha's head...

Do you not like Kikyo? and shouldn't you have used spoiler tags for that? :)
Supposedly she dies, yes. No more spoiler than that will I give.
Yeah the manga has been long running, but I am not sure the chapter numbers at this point. The actual episode count is about at 155-156 at this time. 2 movies with a third almost out.

Other interesting stuff. I will aim for getting all the Dvds once I am out of college and have a steady job. (Also hoping they have box sets by then.) I really like the whole storyline concept, but the fact that the romance has almost progressed nil bothers me a lot.

Yes, I am a kikyo fan, she's cute when in her miko uniform, kind of like Arashi of X. I also like Miroku when he isn't being a perv.

A character I can't stand is Shippou. something about him being annoying, but I like it when Inuyasha does something to the furrball. :P

The second Urusei Yatsura movie was translated by AnimEigo like the rest of the series. I don't know why CPM has the release rights, though.

I've been collecting anime for over ten years now and Rumiko Takahashi has always been a part of my collection. It took Viz about ten years to release all of Ranma. I was sad when the last DVD was released. I didn't have a time in my collecting that I wasn't looking forward to the next Ranma release! I'm OK now, though. I have Inu Yasha to collect now. There's over 150 episodes (and counting), looks like it'll take another decade for Viz to get this one out, too.

The movies are on it's way. Planned release dates are September 7 for the first one and December 28 for the second :)

Wow, that was an old post ...

To briefly continue the off-topic, I have both of the Urusei Yatsura movies now that are presently released (#3 is being dubbed). There are reviews (by yours truly) on them in the reviews section. Now, if only Viz would get off their rear ends and get Maison Ikkoku #4 out, I'd be a happier man. :)

To bring things back on-topic, I own manga volumes 1, 14, 15 and 16, and have seen every episode to show on Adult Swim except one. I'm a broke Inuyasha fanboy (otherwise I'd own more of the manga and/or anime).

As far as favorite characters go, Sango and Miroku are definitely my favorites, if only for the way they interact.
