I have to go with shounen on this one... first of all there's the fighting... the way it's animated is soooo pretty and when the fighters announce the names of their attacks as they do them it never ceases to amuse. Plus there are so many bishies in shounen, and there isn't as much irritating sappy stuff.

for the most part, it depends on your gender... i'm a girl, i prefer shounen

I really must visit the thread this was copied from. While I had intended to post in it several times there were always pressing matters of actual importance.

For this thread, I stated shonen. Both forms, in anime, have their faults, but I can deal with those of the shonen genre far better. My full feelings on this subject will be better stated in the manga thread.

In anime, shonen definitely for the beautiful action scenes and complimentary music playing in the background.

There are certain things manga cannot capture.

And once again, I'll go with shounen.

I do enjoy a healthy mix as is found in the likes of Escaflowne, but if I had to choose Id definetly say Shounen.

both

I like both even though I do watch more shoujo animes than shonen for some unusual reason. But I still enjoy both.

I usually read Shonen, so that's my choice. =^.^=

The terrifying moldy bread incident! In elementary school, Yomi's leftover bread started rotting inside her desk! you can't imagine what happened! Not only that, but the mold had a will of its own, it was terrible! Barricading ourselves in the science prep room, we used spirit lamps and engaged in combat! Then I realized it!! If we only had the bottle of mildew remover from the bathroom, we could destroy them!!

I generally like shounen art styles better, plus I prefer the competitions and fights over the school love triskaidecagons (though I guess some of the shoujo with a little more action is okay). @_@ My life is confusing enough without manga adding various relationship tangles, but I'm rather short on ninja fights.
