Please Yell at Me Until I Write My Friend

Not sure which forum this should be in, so I chose General.

A few years ago, I moved to a different state and sadly left my best friend behind. We used to call and e-mail each other all the time, but soon, the the calls and e-mails got fewer and fewer. Now I haven't written her in six months. For some strange reason, I just can't find the will to. I have no idea why. Maybe it's because I know so little about her now that I'm not sure what to say. I miss her, and I wish I could communicate with her some more. But something is stopping me. I see that I am also beginning to do this same thing to a friend from the last state I lived in. (I moved again recently.)

So what I ask you all to do is to yell and nag at me until I do it. Show me no mercy; tell me to e-mail her. And keep telling me until I do so. Can I ask that of you?

I'm joking around of course. Hmm...I dont know why you dont have the will to contact your friend. But if you want your friendship to remain active you will have to get in touch at some point. Just start small with a simple "Hey how's it going haven't seen you in a while bye" kind of message and work from there. Do you have some kind of IM service?

EDIT: I did it! I did it! It was longer than I thought it would be, and I ran out of time writing it, so I'm going to write more to her, later. *hugs you all* Thank you so much! I wouldn't have done it without your help!

WHAT EMBARRASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY WOULD YOU BE EMBARRASSED!!!!!!!!!!!????????? No, no don't worrie she won't think your weird....I bet she would think it was cool that you have so many good friends here, so...if you really want her to join just tell her and it will be fine.

Oh...alright. I mean it should be a crime not to tell anyone about this awesome place!! You guys are the best! I love the way you encourage me to do things. And I like the kindness yet forcefulness. (Well I don't think forcefulness is the right word.) But seriously, the capital letters and many exclamation pionts help me a lot! It's like having many drill sergeant mentors that I know all love me. Okay it's hard to explain it, but you help me a lot. Thank you all. You're doing exactly what I needed you to.

I'm glad you're writing to your friend, Lunis. I've had many friends move away, and then I lost touch with. I pray for them whenever they come to mind, but I still regret not making more of an effort to write or call.
