My pet left us on Wednesday...would it be okay if I asked for prayers?

Yes, so, my baby pet painted turtle Abruu was found to have passed away overnight in his sleep on Wednesday afternoon. It's not super important that you do, but I was wondering if you would pray for my healing. He meant a lot to my whole family, and we think he may have passed from the hard winter and a failure to thrive. Thank you all so much...it means a lot. God bless you all (I hope I didn't sound like I am too self-pious! ):sweat:

Awe, don't worry ^^;; I know firsthand that losing a pet is very painful (my family lost a cat about 2 years ago)

I hope this doesn't sound pious when I bring a verse up... 2 Samuel 12:3: "But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had brought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him."
Even though with was a metaphor, this makes clear that even in biblical times, there were people who cared a lot for their pets.

praying, I've lost a good handful pets to the coyotes where I live. I still haven't fully gotten over one of them because it was really tragic and gruesome. So, definitely understand needing some prayer to get over the loss of them.
