How do you dress?

Postby Hitokiri » Fri Jun 11, 2004 8:07 am

Do you have a certain style that you dress in? Like Ghetto, Jock, Scurnge?

I dress Gothic actually which might surprise some of you

I mostly wear all black except I do wear alot of white t-shirts. Basically my shirts are all white and black. I also have some blue jeans. My jeans get very torn up so a rip will go all the way up to my rear so I will safety pin it close. Safety Pins are very useful!

I generally do have a fro (i have long hair when not), so I put it in spikes or like a triangle looking, likda like the elad singer in Dead Poetic. Some of my friends are planning on straightening it some time at a church event for fun.

I will on occassion wear black eyeliner and black nail polish but I dont do that alot. Only when I feel like it and the last time was like 3 motnhs ago.

Well thats me in a nutshell how I dress.

I use to dress-up as a skateboarder and also I dress-up when I go to rock concerts, like Disciples. But now I dress-up, well... prepy. Don't get me wrong I not snoby like preps, I just dress like them. :jump:

I have never been able to just give myself over to one look totaly...I have always like blending things. Most times I prefer "gothic" things I suppose....but there are cool styles other then gothic. Another thing I like doing is waiting till a certain trend dies down (Ivy hats, wallet chains) then do them. I was never much on being up to date so to speak. But one thing that I have been doing as of late...adult swim shirts....Space Ghost and Sealab 2021 baby...good stuff!

::blink blink:: I wear.. pajamas. That is what I usually wear. Unless I have to go to school or something like the mall. No.. I take that back. I've worn pajamas to the mall. Unless my mom makes me change, I usually wear pajamas. They're just more comfortable.

I can't wear them at school though. They really don't fit the dress code. But our school does have pajama days, so when that happens I wear pajamas to school. xD

When I'm wearing something other than pajamas. It's usually loose bluejeans, and a big comfy shirt with my slip on tennis shoes. ::nod:: My mom always gets frusterated that I don't dress up like a girl is 'supposed to'. I do dress up for church. A dress, skirt (as much as I despise the two), or really nice pants and dressy shirt. Oh man... anyways. I guess thats me.

Basically, I dress in what I think looks good. In the winter, I wear mostly long-sleeve t's from Old navy, Abercrombie & Fitch, etc, and jeans. I don't like boot-cut as much as like....flares and stuff. Most of my jeans are the ones that are kind of tight above the knee, then kind of get more loose below it. My summer wear is usually a tank top or t-shirt with just like one sentence or a picture. I like the ones that say stuff like "Joe's Surf Shop" too. I get all the anime shirts I can get my hands on, but they're in short supply around here. I like jean shorts and capri's for the summer. Sometimes I go for the sporty thing, though, and wear my basketball shorts and a t-shirt that matches 'em. Okay, now I'm rambling. Sorry!

I definitely don't fit into any one category with my clothing. It's something like skater/prep/retro-ish. It's just me. ^_^
I usually roam my house in some cotton PJ pants and a tank top. The days I actually get to leave my home, I'm probably in some cargo capris and a t-shirt. I have really cute t-shirts. I luff them.

Hm...I don't like to really label myself in a certain stereotype...I just wear whatever I feel the most comfortable in. Which usually is khakis/jeans, usually a black band shirt (occasionally another coloured band shirt...ha ha ha), and vans shoes. As for accessories that I always have on...belt and wallet chain...Uh...two necklaces...one is a pirate ring and the other a wolf, a W.W.J.D. bracelet, a rubber band, a charm bracelet with a shield on it that has the verse from Joshua 1:9b on it and this part of my cell phone clip that I wear on my wrist. It works well as a braclet. Yeah...and then I also wear my scapular at all times...but it's under my clothes, so it's not like anyone can see it. LOL. Right...anyway...um...yeah that's basically what I wear every day... Not very exciting...-.-' But at least I feel most comfortable with myself in it. ^_^

Alrighty let's see.. it'd be hard to classify, so I'll give a description: I'm about 6' ish and fairly lanky..

Head.. area.. yeah: I have dirty blond hair that gets kinda dry and poofy/curly.. so sometimes it looks a little froish but I'm trying to get it to stay straigher thanks to some gel.. I have glasses. I had contacts for a while but not now. Greenish-bluish eyes.

Shirt: I usually wear a t-shirt, often black or navy blue and sometimes a gray long sleeved shirt under that. I also wear green sometimes.

Pants: Usually loose, somewhat baggy black pants or blue jeans or my baggy camo pants.

Shoes: During the winter, I'm almost never without my boots. They look very similar to snowboard boots which many people comment on, and one of the buckles is broken.. maybe time for some new ones ^.^;; Otherwise I'll mostly wear my black converse all-star high tops (which currently have a very large rip in them... I can stuck my foot out through it) or some sneakers but mostly the high tops.

Jewelry: I have a silver cross necklace on a thin black chord that it almost always on, my watch, and my class ring which is silver with a blue gem.

Okay done rambling ^.^

Oh....uh....sorry to post again, but water-bearer made me think of lots of stuff I forgot. Sorry to use your way of classifying!

Head: I NEVER wear make-up. Sorry. Just had to say that. I always wore earrings until the holes closed up....I almost never take off my favorite shell necklace...*feels neck* AAAGGHHH!!! I'M NOT WEARING IT!....Anyway, if hair counts as clothing, I almost always wear it up. When it's as long and thick as mine, it's a hassle to have down. It's kind-of medium brown and super-straight except for one little wave thing at the bottom. I have blue-green eyes with blue-colored contacts.

Already said shirt and pants...Although it's really hard to find jeans long enough in the teens section since I'm so tall...

Feet: I wear either sneakers, tennis shoes, or a wide array of flip-flops. I like toe rings and anklets!

Uh....I think that's it! Done blabbing!

Besides the fact that every job I have had in the past 4 years requires that I wear a collared shirt and ‘dress’ pants, I tend to chose the ‘prep’ type of attire as primary.

Different color kaki pants or jeans, collared shirts, or a tee-shirt. I wear sweaters in the winter when I’m cold, and have both my ski coat and a peat-coat (or what ever they are called). I do have one heavy and warm ‘hoodie’ that I like.
In summer I generally wear shorts (cargo or kaki) in addition to the above dress.

My shirts and pants fit comfortably at my waste and are not 2 sizes to big. On the other hand, I do not wear tee-shirts that I had when I was 3. (that would be skin tight). Or those unhealthy tapered pants.

Being that I live in the north, I do have a couple flannels I wear if I am working out side in cool to cold weather or on my car.

My hair is short, though for many years I allowed it to grow past my ear lobes, parting it in the center.

That is pretty much the way it has always been. And the way I feel the most comfortable.

Strange, how we all dress differently. I think we should all just give up these fashions and go with the one piece silver jumpsuits with the stripe in the middle.
From what I have seen in futuristic movies, that seams to be the way we are going… ;)
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

sometimes I will wear a spike bracelet and neck collar thing. My mom hates it

Onething also that I've done once was take a rope and wrap it around my neck so it looks like a rope neck.

I always weat tennic shoes..even around the house. Last time I wore sandals was 8 years ago.

For instance, at this time i'm wearing 4 rubber bands on my right wrist, my Demon Hunter T-shirt (looks lik eit has a pentagram on it but it's really a centagram (7th eperfect number)), and my black, big jeans. I'm not going anywhere today so I dont really need to get dressed

oh yeah am Im wearing shoes

It all depends...if I'm going to work then it's a white collared shirt and some black or bage khakis. If I'm in a preppy mood I tend to dress just casual and well 'preppy' I guess. Or if I'm super lazy then I just wear my jeans and some T-shirts with some slogans or shirts of my favorite bands and one Zelda shirt I have.

I would also characterize my style as "Cheap" meaning "what I can get for under one American dollar."

Never the less, I've managed to find some cool shirts in the black variety, as black is one of my favorite colors. You'd be surprised what people basically throw away at times.

I wear whatever ends up in my closet. My dad's shirt, my mom's jeans, and sometimes my sister's sweater...and I wonder why it fits so tight...:P *joke*
However, I do have a few articles of clothing that I favor...my long black skirt, my long black hooded sweater (that I fancy looks like a cloak...until my "friend" sneaks up behind me and ties my sash in a bow :stressed: *cant...breathe...looks...dorky*)
...my black belt, my big black boots, and my black quarter-length shirt with the straight neckline that I love so much ^^....
...and everyone says I look like a goth! :eh: Why in the world would they say that?

It's not...that...hot...*faints in the ninety-degree weather*

I tend to dress in subdued colors (although I have a bright yellow "Friends Don't Let Friends Go To Hell" t-shirt my non-Christian cousin got me as a souvenir from Myrtle Beach, and a neon-green "I Agree With Andy" t-shirt [Andy being the centerpiece of an evangelism campaign a few years ago on-campus], but I rarely wear either). I despise wearing anything that has an outstanding company logo on it, like Abercrombie or Old Navy--I'm not paying so that I can be a walking billboard ad for them. That, and when I can help it I prefer wearing golf shirts (you know, the nice t-shirts with collars on them).

In other words, I'm a counter-counterconformist. ;)

I'm kind of a happy goth, as in, I wear black stuff, but I'm the one jumping the highest in the mosh pit instead of skulking in a corner. I like baggy jeans, but I'll go Aero every once in a while.

I'm very fair, so I tend to get the goth label when I wear black...
I have alternate personalities...I call it the "warring mind".
I'm actually a very goofy and outspoken person once one gets to know me...but outwardly, people seem to assume that I'm either shy, snobby, angry, or sinister.
I normally don't say much at all...but I know I'm not a goth. My friends used to call it "the shell". I'm a nice person once you get past the cold and cynical part...^^
I guess it all depends on my mood.

When I'm in the car going somewhere, I almost ALWAYS listen to my cd player. My family calls it "my shell" because I totally tune everything else out.
