In shocking news, KyoAni announces a Kyoukai no Kanata anime, which:
* is fantasy
* is not slice of life
* is not comedy
* previously existed only as a CM for one of their light novel series

I have been wanting and waiting for this to happen since I saw the CM sometime last summer! (I really really hope it's a great as I want it to be!!!!!!!)

Well, IMO it has potential. The story is a bit...eh... but the battles should prove interesting. OYW suits in HD please.

It would be bad if they try to take the story too seriously so hopefully it just gets used as an excuse to have awesome battles. If it's anything like the OVA from a few years back, it'll be pretty entertaining.

I haven't been able to watch the first 4 seasons so I cannot form a positive or negative opinion. However, it would be nice for certain other animes to be able to get at least a sequel - Natsume seems to be taking the spotlight.

I don't understand, anime production isn't some sort of zero-sum game. There's only one determinant in whether more of a show gets made: whether it sells or not.

There's going to be a third season of Kiniro no Corda (aka La Corda D'Oro). However, it should have a completely new set of characters and story like White Album 2.
