Anime Expo 2004

Postby Megami Tsunami » Wed Jun 11, 2003 1:54 pm

Hey I was just wondering, is anyone planning to go to Anime Expo 2004? A few of my friends and I are planning to go and cosplay as the Tokyo Mew Mew group. It would be cool to hear if some of you are planning to go as well!

most likely at the Anaheim Convention Center (near Disney Land), but if not, it will be in Long Beach. I guess it's too early to really say for sure.

I SOOOOOOOO want to go to AX 2004, but I most likely can't afford it, and even if I could, that would really be offensive to my parents I think. . .me running off to go to an anime convention for a day or two. . .

If I did go, though, I'd cosplay as Milly from Trigun. I got the idea after seeing my picture lined up under the avatar I used to use at ChristianForums (before I changed it to Radical Edward) The only things I'd really need would be the outfit, maybe to lighten my hair one shade or so, and to take off my glasses.

I mean, a cosplay outfit that costs less than $100 for everything definitely appeals to me, especially after I've seen people put $1000 or over into cosplays. . .

Thanks to doukeshi03 from otakuboards for the banner!

I'm sorry you cannot make it Jimmothy. Have you been to conventions before? Next year will be my first time.

Last year a friend of mine asked if I could cosplay with her at AX04, and I promised her that I'd try to plan for it. So I've been praying about it. Just recently I received my costume and cosplay sets from Yahoo Japan which is a real blessing. It was a gift from a good friend of mine to buy it all for me. And in exactly a month from now, my family and I are being transferred to California, which makes the plan for the convention that much more possible (because it is being held in CA). Still, there could be a chance that I cannot make it. *shrugs* you never know? But if the Lord provides me a way, this might be more of a mission trip I'm making. Some of my friends who are planning to come along haven't received Christ, so perhaps this is a big chance to witness to them. What do you think?

I'm going! And yes, It's going to be at the Anaheim Convention Center. I just checked it out. Oh! What day are you guys going to cosplay Tokyo Mew Mew? I'm going to Cosplay Nami from One Piece, and a friend of mine is going to be Sanji from the same show.

Yeah I preregistered back in January for the event. Only a month away now! As for the 'tokyo mew mew' cosplay group, it seems that the idea is off now. Everyone pretty much lost interest in doing it I guess...and plus most of them cannot come, it's really too bad. I'm still going to be cosplaying as lettuce though, because I already worked hard at getting to it. My friend will be surprising me with his cosplay...I have no idea what it can be! We're planning to just cosplay on the first and second day...if not, just the first day.

Oh, and by the way, you should post pictures of your costume here.
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

What's with all this grave-digging all of a sudden? I guess its better than completely rehashing old topics, but... oh well.

No, no, no, no; don't apologize. Its a good topic for people interested in going, and I was just wondering about why so many people are resurrecting old threads for.
