Do you think God created other beings besides us?????

Talk about anything in here.

I wouldn't say yes or no definitely, but I'm open to the possibility. I find it hard to believe that in all the nigh-infinite galaxies and planets in the universe, Earth is the only one to be inhabited by intelligent, civilized forms of life. Plus, I believe that we serve a very creative God. If you don't believe me, just look at a giraffe or a sawfish.

I dont see any really good reason why they dont exist... I think it'd be pretty cool if they did :) I've always loved starwars after all. I dont see any reason why the should exist on the other hand.

Crop circles are funny  I like the alien one in the attachment.. very detailed :thumb:

I say, absolutely. C.S. Lewis wrote a series on aliens. I think one of the books is called Strange Planet but don't hold me to that! Check it out! In any case, we'll know in heaven!

Well for one I don't think there are. I just dont think there are any really lol. If there was would God allow, our two races, species whichever the case may be, us to meet? I know the bible says we are his most precious creations, but if he did create aliens that are somewhat on our level of intelligence...why would he keep them secret?

I wouldn't mind meeting the aliens lol. Maybe if there are any they'll come during the end times???????????

(I dont want to start an argument over the "End Times" so just in case you do I apologize. Mainly cuz there are the different theories and all that. I for one only know I won't be here for it so I dont really care what happens :D)

Only thing about that reasoning is that there is no clear mention either of dinosaurs

Behemoth and Leviathan, metnioned in Job. they fit dinosaur descriptions perfectly.

Yup... That's why I don't think dinosaurs died out before people came along... I have heard people say that Leviathan was a crocodile... That's just rediculous... Or that Leviathan was an elephant or a hippo or a giraffe... Hippo fits for how dangerous it is, but they don't have tails that "sway like cedars"

Although many language scholars believe that the "tail" reference likely refers to a rather different sort of appendage. Of course, the decriptions themselves are hardly precise, and may in any case refer to mythical or semi-mythical animals. The reality is that no traces of dinosaurs have been found in strata contemporaneous to humans or large mammals.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

How do you mean? I grabbed a Strong's concordance and it comes up with #2180 for Job 40:17, transliterated "zanab" meaning tail, end or stump. The same Hebrew word appears in Exodus 4:4 where Moses grabs the snake by the tail (turning into a staff), and in the word for "tail" or ending in Isa 7:4, 9:14-15, and 19:15. For completeness, it also occurs in Deu 28:13 and 44, and Judges 15:4.

You can look this up on http://www.blueletterbible.org, too, if you don't have the book handy.

The problem isn't that the word is mistranslated in it's literal meaning, but rather than it's being used as euphemism in that particular context.

" He setteth up his tail like a cedar, the sinews of his testicles are wrapped together." Job 40:17(DRV)

In this case, the context of the sentence is made more explicit, as is the particular section of anatomy in question.

That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Yes, that is a very good series. Another trilogy by a Christian author that deals with extraterrestrial life is A Wrinkle in Time, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, and A Wind in the Door by Madeleine L'Engle. The extraterrestrial life is not the point of the books, but it plays a part.

Well i believe god created earth and the universe was created by someone else, but just what i think. Every world out there have its own gods and if there is other life out there than they have their own gods to believe in. or its the same god protending to be their god/s. You never know?
I n September of 2012 Megaroad-01 was launched with an escort of fleet of zentraedi warships. From that point on the mass-production of the Megaroad -class colony ship began and soon long-range colony fleets were routinely being launched from earth solar system at a rate of 1-2 per year.
In September of 2022 Megaroad-19 colony ship with it’s escort fleet left earth and headed south fifteen degrees to the right of the southern star. On a mission with three objection; One to search for a planet to colonize, two to see what the rim of the galaxy looks like, three to see if any zentraedi fleets are out there. On July 21, 2025 Megaroad-19 entered its ninth star system and named it the sierra system.
Orbiting the third planet is an asteroid that was some ten miles in size, and a moon that was named Karla.

I'm also a bit of a wonderer when it comes to extraterrestrial life. I think it's a possibility that they COULD be out there.

Still, I've read Nephilim, by L.A Marzuli, which involved the scenario of "aliens" actually being demons in disguise and came to deceive the whole
world. Though it was a pretty good idea, I didn't really care much for the actual writing.

Hmm... Don't know how I missed this until now. I'm going to have to say that I agree with Eirewolf on this one. To say that God would NEVER hide anything from us is more than a little bit naive; it's more that a little bit arrogent. It's not even logical. EXPLAIN EVERYTHING THERE IS ABOUT GOD. RIGHT NOW! DO IT!!!! You can't can you? Please don't claim to know EVERYTHING about GOD if you can't back that up. Along those lines, can you say that God has told you EVERYTHING he is capable of doing? Really!?! Wow!!!! That's AMAZING!!!

Please note, my use of emphasis is only to make people think. Let me put it this way:
1. Do you think it's possible there are aliens in the universe?
2. Can God do anything?

You guys are missing a very obvious, yet subtle point. Can God create a rock he can't move? You may say either yes, or no. If you say either, then you are saying that, "God cannot do EVERYTHING." This is the difference I want to point out. God can do ANYTHING. But to humans who view reality as a series of events, he does not do everything.

Think about it.

It appears we are getting off the main point... The question was, do you THINK God created other beings. Some people have implied that it's NOT possible for this to be the case... I for one don't care, but when someone impiles that it's not POSSIBLE...

I simply wanted to clear that one up. I PERSONALLY (and this is in no way afiliated with CAA, my church, my wife, etc) think that there are probably other creatures out there. If this is not the case, then doesn't affect my relationship with Christ in the slightest. I just think it's arrogent to assume that God would tell us everything. I don't recall any point in the bible where it's implied that God will never do anything that doesn't directly involve us. I mean let's face it, if we're all there is to God's universe, it's gonna be rather boring for him, don' t you think?

The Alien confict seems to be very contorversial. I just don't think there is other intelligent life. (Unless somehow HUMANS were on other planets) I do think there is trees, plants, bacteria and animals out there, though. There also may be another dimension out there with intelligent life
