I got jumped last tuesday....

my freind right now is in a bad condition. he tried to help me but instead got beaten up.... his right eye is swollen and Red. I tried to stop my freind but he didn't listen to me....

*Whistles* Jumped aye? that sucks. I used to take Tae Kwon Doe, and if you don't want to be jumped again, you might too. but always remember! We learn the Martial arts, so we don't have to use them. Um... Yeah, right...

My little brother took a hit for someone on his first day of 4th grade! :lol: Made an instant friend too!

I can understand you feeling bad about that situation.. I would too! I'll pray for your friend also :thumb:

I know taekwondo... my only concern is if I get jumped I might not have the strength behind my moves to fight them off! I mean the sparring in class is always "light contact" or "no contact" so I dont get a lot of experience really knocking the socks off people lol Of course if we did there'd be no one to spar with! Also I dont know about pain.. I'm not that great at enduring pain sometimes so if someone jumped me and got the first strike I wonder if I would be able to fight back despite whatever damage they initially inflicted.

Also remember that sparring isn't combat. I suggest taking boxing lessons as well so you'll know both good hand and leg attacks. Then again Ive never been in a fight before nor taken a martial art..although Im hoping to learn Kendo
