@Felix Talking about fantastic PMVs. Toby Mac! Really? I love Toby Mac! And you are the best, I loved that video. Even though you used loads of effects it didn't overshadow your video at all and for the most part added to it. The fx heavy editors from EqD could learn a thing or two from this, very well done.
And I'm glad you liked my video, thanks. I was worried about that part at first, I mean what could I possibly fit in there from MLP? But once it started to flow it came together nicely.

Now 'Give me that funky Jesus music!' Yeah!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I'm normally not one for flashy effects, but I just wanted to play around with the power of Vegas and see what I could come up with. I probably won't be using so much fx in future videos. I think compiling pure footage to good effect is the best way to do it, but there are some times when effects add to it. I know what you mean about those who just load there videos with way too many effects! I'm glad you liked mine how it is :)

Oh man, "I'm an Egghead."

The Barking pony, the whole trying to hide that she was reading, Hilarious. xD

Lucky me!:D I got to see the episode earlier than I usually do. And I loved it (actually we need an emoticon that says 'loved the mlp episode'). A bit of a break from the last few, shall we say 'explosive', episodes with some adventure and suspense.
Barking pony reminded me of Murdock from the A-Team, all we needed was a van to pull up and she escapes behind their backs. Loved the doctor, they take slipper stealing very seriously in Ponyville. And RD was great, might be my second favourite episode of her, it's hard to beat 'Sonic Rainboom'
PS @ChristianKitsune Love the Derpy gif.:thumb:

Agreed, this episode was fantastic! I'm quite an egghead myself, so I definitely adored it. Some people are complaining about season 2, but so far I am just loving it! I don't think the quality has dropped at all since Lauren Faust left the scene. One thing I'd like to see, though, is another sort of mini plot arc like we had with The Ticket Master, Suited for Success, and The Best Night Ever. I liked how the events in those all tied together a little bit, and it'd be cool to see something similar to that done with some of the coming episodes in season 2.

Actually the next episode is Hearts and Hooves Day, where the CMC make Big Mac and Cheerilee fall in love with each other but soon regret it. :p

I wonder if Big Mac will actually get any speaking lines. I was surprised that he actually said something in the last episode.

Anyway today's episode was pretty good but I'm not a Dash fan so my opinion of the episode is biased a bit. Still don't know why she couldn't have just gone in the hospital and said "Oh hey I forgot that I left a book in my room, let me go back and get it." Ah well.

I think all the Dash episodes we're getting is because she's so obviously prideful and often rather jerky, so they can write more episodes giving her character growth (even if it's tiny and never relevant again). I mean, there are only so many stories to be had from the CMC fruitlessly trying to force their cutie marks to appear and Fluttershy plucking up a little courage. How many reasonably tricky lessons, really, can Twilight, Pinkie, Rarity, Applejack, and Spike still learn? They all have a big enough streak of sweetness in them that they're pretty accepting of [s]people[/s] ponies and can easily tweak their behavior when appropriate. Dash isn't like that.

Actually, and this is the communications differences nerd in me, but it'd be really cool to have an episode exploring Dash's past and the people she had around her before she came to Ponyville. I mean, Dash doesn't maliciously bully [s]people[/s] ponies, so I'm curious if where she comes from her behavior is normal, or even mild. (Is Gilda a normal representation of Cloudsdale residents, or had she gotten nasty since Dash saw her last?) But that would be a pretty tough and easily confusing thing to explore in a kid's program, so that will probably never happen.

Anyway, regarding the latest episode, Daring Do should've almost lost her hat only to rescue it in the nick of time while an exciting and cheesy theme played. I am disappoint.

Although I agree that Rainbow's faults are the most forward of all, I think there's still loads they could do with the other ponies.
Twilight still has things to learn about friendship, and she has a bit of pompous and know-it-all streak in her that was only lightly touched in 'Feeling Pinky Keen'. There could still be some more episodes like 'Look before you sleep' where Twilight missed out on some childhood experiences. There's her relationship with Celestia that still needs to be build upon and we know the least about Twilights past than any of the others.
Rarity is still the most easily bothered by small things, she could learn to trust in her friends more (I know Applejack may be the prideful one, but Rarity too easily likes to do things her way and on her own), there's her relationship with her parents and there could be no end to fashion episodes in this show or Rarity wants to be famous episodes.
Fluttershy, besides still being unsocial, timid and has all the critter episodes, is still flexible enough be thrown into surprise episodes like 'Green isn't your colour'. We can still learn more from her past and I doubt we've seen the end of terrifying creatures inside the evergreen forest.
Pinkie has a lot of self doubt and could still learn more about responsibility and manners. She has two sisters we have yet to meet and I doubt they'll ever run out of wacky Pinkie episodes.
Applejack has already learned about her issues with pride and being stubborn. But we've seen her overreact a bit and she might have an issue standing up for herself without getting angry. And she could carry a lot of the family matter episodes with the Apple family being so big.
CMC, we've seen that not every episode has to be about their cutie marks. If they don't give us a Scootaloo episode we might have a war on our hands. And I for one haven't had nearly enough of their cutie mark shenanigans.
Add to that the Main6 episodes, shared episodes between the Main6, Ponyville episodes (and even other towns or regions) and antagonists episodes (Trixie, Flim and Flam) I don't think we'll be running out of a wide variety of episodes for some time yet.
But, as you say, it could just be that Rainbow is easy to write for and the fastest way to get out episodes.

Edit: Oh, and apparently last season we didn't have enough Rainbow Dash episodes. I don't see it myself, but the RD fans says it's so.:)

Okay, while we're talking about episodes, there can always be that episode where Twilight learns that things can be real awkward around her friends. Lets say Twilight is walking towards Fluttershy down a long hall, Twilight notices her first, but is thinking to herself: "When am I supposed to say hi?"

I remember thinking that exact same thing while watching the episode, and then I later decided that I'm glad they didn't, because they were already clearly referencing Indiana Jones, but in my opinion it would have been slightly too ripping-off if they had done that. I'm also glad there was no boulder-rolling scene. I'm glad that the references, while
obvious enough, are not too over-the-top blatant and directly copying, for the most part.

And I agree with you, Bio, that there is a lot of potential for developing the other characters, too, but I also think that there is a bit more potential for interesting situations revolving around Dash's character development, and I agree that she seems to have the most to learn, typically. I'd really like to see some more episode centered on all of the main 6 together, and I'd like to see more CMC episodes too. Hearts and Hooves Day should be good!

You make a good point. I ultimately think that the bad spacing of episodes throughout this season is just getting to us a bit, I hope that at the end of the season we'll have a nice spread of episodes to be happy with and we'll look back and see just how silly we were. After all, didn't we get an amazing Pinkie Pie episode the last time we we're worried about too much Dashie?

Yes we did! And you're right, that has been bugging me a bit too. It's not so much the amount of dash episodes that is a problem to me, but they really should space them out more. Swapping the upcoming Fluttershy with May the Best Pet Win or The Mysterious Mare-do-well would have been good, I think.

Hmm, I guess there is more material there than I'd originally thought. But it looks like we're still in agreement that Dash has the most room to grow.

I didn't know Lauren Faust had left the series. Where have I been?

I enjoyed this episode --makes me want to rediscover my love for reading (been working on that --haven't been able to read for pleasure much at all due to school --but now that I'm done with that, I am looking forward to many late nights like Rainbow --getting so into the story that you can't put the book down to sleep).
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. The only reason Dash is my avatar is because I put it up there for Gay Pride Month. Not that I think Dash is lesbian or anything (stereotypes are lame) but because of the rainbow being a general symbol for gay pride. :p

Dash really is my least favorite pony though.

Up until this most recent episode I was in the same boat. My opinion of her went up a lot in that one. Reading Rainbow Dash is the best Dash, and I'll go ahead and throw in this link to reinforce that statement: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7gTVQzeTfU

@CK: Aw, that picture is adorable. Great job! Especially for having limited colors to work with. At first I thought perhaps Discord had returned... again!

Also, random factoid: I've been rewatching Gundam 00 Season 2 with a friend, and I found out that Mileina Vashti's VA (this character) Image

Today I was babysitting for my two nieces. One of them is 2 and the other is about 3 months. I introduced my 2-year-old to MLP, and she loved it so much. And then when I was putting the baby down for a nap, the only lullaby I could think of was the one Fluttershy sings to the Cutie Mark Crusaders, so I sang that one to her until she fell asleep. This show is so awesome.

The new episode leaked on iTunes today, so you can buy it and watch it if you really don't want to wait! :D I just got it, but I won't spoil anything.

Also, attached is a picture of my Fluttershy blind bag custom. Making customs is a lot harder than I thought o.o
