Best anime friendships.

NeosEvangel Here! I know we all love the romantic couples in anime but what about the friendships. You know the companionship between a boy and a boy and girl and a girl. AND I DON'T MEAN GAY STUFF. It's just that we all focus on the romance lets focus on friendship too. Here are my favorite anime friendships.
Riku/Sora (Their in Kingdom Hearts a video game. I admire how close they are.)
Sakura/Tomoyo( Cardcaptor Sakura. They're so close and their friendship is so strong one of the best in anime.)
Netto/Tohru (From Rockman EXE. They are the ideal companions. One's the hero and hyper the other is shy.)
Daisuke/Ken (from Digimon. Another perfectly matched companionship.)
Kotaro/Tamayo (from Angelic Layer; I see them as childhood friends not a couple.)
Tamayo/Misaki (From Angelic Layer; Tamayo is so supportive in a phsycho kind of way)
Trunks/Goten (I don't watch Dragonball Z that often but theirs is cute.

Ren/Horohoro--LOL...You gotta love their great bond of friendship...and insult here, and insult there...ain't it great!? XDD

Daisuke/Dark--from DN Dngel...I mean, ya gotta be friends with each other if you have to share the same body~! You know, like Yami and Yuugi...well, i guess you don't have to, seeing how Hiwatari doesn't get along with Krad to well...XDD

I like all the mixes and matches of odd relationships between the Gundam Wing pilots. ^__^ They each have their own unique ways of getting along (or not) with people; it's great.

Um...Iruka-sensei and Naruto. They're so cute, even when they're slightly angsty (which isn't that often.)

Luffy and Zoro from One Piece. They bicker too. ^___^

Well...as it's already been mentioned... Tomoyo and Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura... SOOO AAAADORAAAABLE!! I just want to squish Tomoyo for being that sweet.

Hm...any others? I'll have to think a little harder on that one.

Oh...Sasuke and Naruto. I don't know if I could call them friends...but they end up having at least a deep respect for each other that I think is pretty cool.

Oh! And Shindou Hikaru and Touya Akira...at the end anyway...where it's like..."Only *I* can insult him. No one else is allowed." Hehe. It's cute. ^_^

Hikaru/Akari(Hikaru no GO) Akari's awesome...lol...she always keeps Hikaru from getting to full of himself...XDD

Sai/Hikaru(Hikaru no GO) ^_^

Tamayo/Kotaro(Angelic Layer) Though Tamayo does beat up Kotaro, she still kinda cares for him and is supportave...in her own special way.

This is a pretty cool thread, in that it supports the idea of friendship. However, I do feel that it neglects one thing... why must a friendship be between characters of the same gender? In my mind we should be just as open for characters of opposite genders who can have deep and meaningful relationships without ever being in love.

Meanwhile, everything I would add has been stolen.

Let's see. . . I know this sounds crazy, but Matt and Tai, and TK and Kari from Digimon. This was one of my first anime favorites and it still holds a special place in my heart.

Hmm...excellent point. I've been blessed with such friendships with Christian brothers in real life so I know they exist.

Problem is it isn't easy to spot such friendships without presuming romantic inclinations in anime/manga. Even if they were platonic canonically, many fans pair them up anyway. ^^]Train Heartnet and Saya [/B]
Sven and Eve (a little more interesting since Sven is way older than her)

You could say these friendships form one of the main reasons I read this manga. heh

True, though I feel this is a flaw in the medium in general. Fans can be quite annoying that way.

This will be an aggravating factor if The Fall ever reaches the mainstream. Every angelic relationship by nature must be strictly platonic.

Yes, made me mad, too. Tai + Sora would have been better because Sora was so angry at Tai the whole movie, pretended that she didn't like him, but really she was dying to hear from him. ^^x (Sora and Matt never really liked each other much. That they got married was kind of ridiculous.)

Funny because the first two I thought of when I saw this thread were Yusuke and Keiko (from Yu Yu Hakusho). I mean yeah, at the end they're in love (and maybe all along, too) but in the beginning they don't show it towards each other, and their relationship is cute. I love how Keiko keeps Yusuke in line.

Hikaru/Akari was another good one

naruto and sasuke-if they are even called close friends.. i think they're cute when arguing :sweat:

tomoyo and sakura-best anime buds i have ever seen.. they're sooo close! :jump:

sometimes i wish me and my best friend where that close

Vash and Wolfwood, Meryl and Millie are funny together, Sano and Kenshin and I like how Yahiko and Kaoru get along, they're funny... basically the Kenshin group as a whole has a great relationship... and Jet and Spike and Ed and Faye as a crew. And in my mind Spike and Wolfwood would have a hilarious friendship... and then throw the 60 billion double dollar man into the mix and Spike might just throw off his apathy.

I also like the relationship Kakashi has with his students. But I guess that's more of a teacher\student thing than a friendship.... although students and teachers can be friends.
