i was surfing the net and found this, you can log into a virtual church, walk around, pray, sit in the pew and listen to a sermon, and go to "the crypt" and hang out

dont know if this is the right spot to put this
i hear they have had some problems with people with bad names and people going into the pulpit and cussing.

what do you guys think about this?

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

Nail pierced hands they run with blood
A splitting brow forced by the thorns
His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me

I read about that on CNN and it looked pretty cool.

The whole cussing thing was just wrong, though.

I'm not sure I really approve of it, for a number of reasons. It wouldn't be hard to start espousing the wrong doctrine real quick and have no real consequences, since it's all online. I guess I kinda view it as those televised sermons--sure I guess some church is better than none at all for some people, but I don't think it's a very good substitution. And plus, man was made to have real life relationships...no site, even one like this or our own CAA, can replace real life fellowship and relationships and such. Also, a "real" church has a bit of sanctity and protection in it--I mean, you won't find people doing things like cussing from the pulpit and such (at least I don't think you should). Online things are very different. I guess in theory it's an ok idea, but I don't think the internet should ever replace real life relationships, even if it's Christian based.

totally agree ashley,

i think that its a nice idea, and fun to try, but i dont think it could ever replace going to church, or anything else

Hate to say what's been said, but I totally agree with Ashley. Men and women were meant to have meaningful relationships; This is especially true in the Church, where others can minister to us, and be our ministry for the Kingdom as well. To reject this means of grace (real fellowship) in favor of an online church is foolish.
Our lives are but a vapor, let us not let waste our time and breath on vanities, but let us spend ourselves for the Kingdom, seeking a better resurrection.
