Yeah, Penguindrum definitely made the biggest impression on me of the new stuff I've seen, and, actually, that first episode made the biggest impression on me of any first episode I've seen in a while.Mr. Hat'n'Clogs (post: 1489920) wrote:I actually thought the first episode of Sacred Seven was pretty cool, and it was awesome that not only is Megumi Nakajima playing the lead female, I actually picked that out. I wish even more that I'd jumped on Tiger and Bunny before.
As for Mawaru Penguindrum:
I also have not read the manga, and although I thought the first two episodes were brilliantly done, I was going to put it on hold as just not being my kind of thing. Until, that is, a colleague of mine at my school's anime club e-mailed the listserv to tell us all that
it eventually skips forward about ten years
... which is something I for some reason LOVE when they do that. So I will stick with it.Mr. Hat'n'Clogs (post: 1490919) wrote:I think I'm the only person here watching it that has not read any of the [Usagi Drop] manga, but I thought that first episode was excellent. Can't wait for more of this.
I'm wondering how they can pull off this story in 11 or 12 eps, though.
