Praise God

Postby aliveinHim » Mon May 16, 2011 7:33 am

I have no idea why but when I walked in my room to do my schoolwork and smelled the fresh morning air, I just couldn't help but thinking of praising God. I heard the birds chirping outside and my sister's violin practice inside. It made me think of the most simple things are often the best.

I feel like we should just praise and thank God for just little simple blessings.
"And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." Ephesians 2:1-7

I completely agree with you! There are so many things around us that are blessings from God. Yesterday I went mountain biking and I saw a beautiful lake on the way back and just praised God for his creation of that beautiful lake.
It's not whether you can or can't do it, it is if you do it or not. Nothing comes easy in this world, especially a job or money. I rely on Jesus to get me through these hard times of persecution.

Ever walk outside on a full moon night? I love to look at the quantity of the stars in the sky, the contrast of the branches as the arch across the night, and the beauty of the clouds as the float past the moon. I stare in wonder at the lovely world God has created for us. I think in complete confusion, how can people look at the stark beauty of nature and think it just... happened. How can something as planned and perfect as a cell be completely random? God has some crazy awesome imagination to have created the cell and used it to the extent He did. I can't compare. It makes me awestruck at how limited our knowledge, our creativity is, compared to Him.

Oh, my Jesus, you are certainly wonderful. I wouldn't trade you for anything. The Hater has no power over me because you are my Father. You are my wonderful father, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you, Lord, for being beautiful. Let me be a mirror to reflect your light. To be a vessel of your beauty, kindness, and caring, that would be enough to fill my days with eternal happiness.

Amen and So Be It~
Your Daughter
