I have kind of an odd question. You guys all know the Lord's Prayer, right?
Our Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.
Well, my church says a different version.
Our Father in Heaven
Hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done
On Earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
Now and forever.
Amen.
My question is, is it all right for us to say this version? I'm just a little confused...
