You're review was great! Thanks alot, I was contemplating checking into this series, but wasn't sure what was in it . . . now I know it sounds even better than I thought! Thanks again, and I'm looking forward to seeing it myself!

It's been awhile since I've watched the series (a year I think) I didn't remember it being to overtly homosexual nor do I remember Shigure being gay. Maybe it's just me and my bad memory.

Anywho the anime is hysterical Shigure made my laugh the entire time. It was crazy fun!
Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.

Sorry, I didn't see this a long time ago.
Well, if you remember any of the scenes between Shigure and Ayame, then I'm sure you'll remember a few comments that passed between the two. You're correct, the series is not frankly homosexual (and that's not what I wrote in the review - however, there is some content - even if could be interpretted as simply joking. It's in the series, therefore it must be mentioned in the review.

Yeah, Shigure was one of my favorites, second only to Tohru.

Well (brag brag braaaag!), I just got the Memory for You CD soundtrack. It's ... not as good as I'd hoped, and it seems like not all the BGM tracks made it. However, the on-air versions of the intro and ending themes are here, several forms of the "memory" Tooru theme (including the really upbeat one with the high rhythm part), and the lovely waltz. What's missing seems to be some of the quick incidentals, which I thought were really the soul of the show.

I really liked Laura Bailey's rendition of the English version of the songs in the dub, though, so I guess I'll have to rip it on the Mac with WireTap.

Yeah, I was quite impressed that the anime followed the first volume almost frame for frame. For some reason, I'm liking Yuki a lot more in the manga than I did the anime. Strange. I'm liking the clean art style of the manga very much as well.

I haven't seen the anime but I've seen pics of anime-Yuki. You probably like him better because he looks less like a girl in the manga.
Think happy thoughts.

Belldandy! You changed your name!! How disturbing. :eh:

And I agree, when it comes down to just the rat and the cat, I'm on the kitty's side. :)

YAY! Cat fan! *hugs Gypsy*
Yea . . . I changed my name . . . don't hurt me! *hides behind chair* ^_^'

I just finished watching the last DVD yesterday, I can't believe I cried! Its soooo sad, but ood as well! I really hope there is a second season coming out one day! If you can believe it, when I put the DVD in it was cloudy and when the last 3 episodes started it started pouring and storming like in the episodes! Weird huh? Nice setting for the mood though! ;)

God was mentioned in the telling of how the animals became part of the Zodiac. (yes, that was funny: quote: "the pooor kitty cat!") I liked that, that I did. Made the book even better. (and is that possible? heh!)
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

That was a very nice review. Quite detailed. ::applause:: Yes, I completely recommend Fruits Basket. Buy the DVDs and all the manga [as they are released] and take them everywhere with you... just to make sure they're safe. : )
