Hmm...perhaps I'll try to explain. There was this old video game called Zero Wing, and the English translation for the little opening sequence was translated really badly...

There's a whole Flash video some people made that has like, pictures of buildings and stuff like that, that all say "All your base are belong to us" XD

ShiroiHikari has explained effectively enough. Zero Wing has become a massive cult movement on the internet in recent times, though it has died down by this point. The original photo is from "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" which is a game show that was also a huge fad somewhat recently.

THATS AWSOME! i love the zero wing all your base video, it is the best totally messed up translation. I saw it first on x-play and the vids weirdness combined with my favorite gaming show automatically made me a fan. all my friends are obsessed to so all one of us has to do is say "what happen" and we all quote the whole thing in our own robotic voices, we get the weirdest looks its great

Seriously... this is a good idea. Is there an ending sequence for Zero Wing? If there is, anyone who worked with it could create another serious internet phenomenon. I doubt the translators would have finished it (as amateur translators rarely go to the end), but that could easily be handled by a few people who barely know Japanese.

Does anyone have it via emulator? If no one has beaten it, I could give it a shot over the summer. I'm only a moderately good gamer, but I am a Save-State/Load-State master...
