I want to destroy something beautiful.....

Talk about anything in here.

Postby Shinja » Mon May 10, 2004 8:12 pm

ive never had a problem with rage or real anger, when i get angery i just dont talk to people, or am short with them. destroying things is purely for sport, ie: shooting old aplances, jars of mayonase, or the ocational busted space heater.

I don't believe "****" is considered foul language anyways... Unless you ask some crazy catholic priest.

I usually hum "In The End" by Linkin Park (my personal theme song) and play either Super Smash Bros. Melee or Dynasty Warriors 4. Video games help.

Actually, as a moderator, I'd prefer that word be avoided.

In any case, I do not believe you would be prosecuted for it... but I would generally agree with shooraijin in that I'd prefer if you'd avoid it.

Sometimes I feel I'm looking for something good to happen around me, cause when it happens, some altruistic action, I feel overjoyed and calm as if nothing would disturb me; it's a good feeling and I wonder if you have already felt it too; you see, life is not all bad.

Thinking wether we have the same feelings will not help unless just for us to know we are not alone, and you see, you are not alone; but still, this won't help you stop being angry cause you will still be thinking about it, and I think no good can come from there.

And remember, as there is noone who is a saint down here there is also noone who is a devil.
Those who have wings will fly in their dreams.

People are too fast to criticise and too slow to praise (meaning it).

If you were to just read that, you might think I was a violent/angsty person. Please note that these are merely violent urges, not actions. What do I do when these feelings come up? Nothing. One major portion of Christianity is that you are not required to do everything your id is telling you to do. Remember: we have higher priorities than ourselves.

I also have the want to cause pain to someone to ,Master luckly its only emotional pain that I some times deal out

That is fortunate. Also, I have discovered this that type of feeling does fade if it is held in check for a long enough period of time.

No. Never. I would never destroy something beuatiful because by doing so it would be detracting from this world. There so much filth here and so little beuaty, we need to cherish what little we have of it, not destroy.

Why on Earth would you wnat to destroy something beuatiful?

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry

I used to get real angry real fast, but I've been meditating on this verse for months now and it's helped me greatly.

There are many times when I want to destroy something beautiful. I've come to realize that it's not just stress relief, but jealousy. I know that I'll never be beautiful, on the outside or on the inside, and want to take out that anger.
I'd like to slip into something more comfortable....like a coma.

I think this thread is starting to outlive its usefulness. Ronin, I hope you are better able to manage your frustrations, and I would invite anyone who wishes to further speak with you about it to do so over PM.
