I actually didn't know it was even adapted from a comic. Maybe I will have to go check it out if I miss an episode or two.Doubleshadow (post: 1434615) wrote:Anyone else read the comic? I have the first hard cover and was SO happy to hear it was being adapted for TV! X3
Cheers.I'll check the comic and get back to you.
Also, here is a rockin' fan made opening credits from a while back containing pieces from the comic.

From that, it can be concluded that society didn't collapse immediately. Even given the difference between the comic and the show, one can imagine that different parts of the infrastructure fell at different times, and the hospital held out like a fort with its own generators and such for a time.

Oh...and did anyone notice in one of the recent episodes that when their RV broke down and at the same time Jim said he wanted to be left behind, the RV mysteriously repaired itself after they set him down by the tree?

I caught that too.ich1990 (post: 1443470) wrote:So how did everyone enjoy that first season?
Personally, I wasn't completely sure I liked the show until that finale. Now, I am certain. While the show does drift into the melodramatic at times, and does seem to overplay its hand, so to speak, it is an intriguing, thoughtful show. The zombies aren't really what this show is about. It is about humans in high-stress situations, and about watching them crumble or stand strong, depending upon their strength of character and ideology.
Biggest fault? It isn't accurate. Not physiologically, not biologically, not in its weaponry, and not in its plot (as evidenced below). Frankly, no one bleeds that much.
On a whole, it is solid and interesting.... I just hope the creators don't go through quite so much trouble to wring out every last ounce of melodrama from each and every situation. Also, a little tidying up of the plot and fact checking certainly wouldn't hurt. I look forward to the next season.
I did notice that and was greatly perplexed.
