I'd only ever seen about 2 episodes a month, so it was less wearing. The incidental music for .hack//sign is really cool (must get), though I'm not as struck with the opening/closing themes ("missing my headache"??). Say, is it just me or does the first part of the closing theme sound like something of Kitaro's?

Hmm, personally I loved Just Communication and Rythem Emotion from Gundam Wing. And the opening theme for Trigun ROCKED...especially since it was really easy for me to learn for my base. ^^ I don't really like the bebop opening...not really into jazz too much.

My two favorites are both closing themes: The Real Folk Blues from Cowboy Bebop (although I don't know. I love the sound of the words and the music, but I've seen two translations of it, one of which is kind of angsty and really cool, another one which is more sexual and doesn't carry the emotional depth of the first I saw: i.e. "I want to know what true sorrow is" in the first translation I saw-great line- was changed to "If only I could find release" in the other version)

My other favorite is "And Forever" the closing theme from Big O. It definitely makes up for that stupid opening theme.

I rather liked the "Ballad of Ranma and Akane" from the Ranma 1/2 OAVs. oldphil thought it was cheesy Disney-esque but it always makes me sentimental. *sobs*

Sugar Baby Love the opening from Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar
Tenshi no Yubikini the opening from His and Her Circumstances
The Opening from Fruits Basket
The Opening from Nadia: The Secret Of Blue Water

BoA's opening of Serial Experiments Lain

Tank! of Cowboy Bebop

Trigun's op and ed

1st ed (what was it called?!? It's my absolute fav ed song), Run! Run! Run!(2nd op) and Memories(2nd ed) from One Piece

Yubiwa from Escaflowne (gah! So SAD!!! T__T)

Head Cha-La from DBZ (yes, you can laugh at me, but I really find it extremely suited to the series)

2nd ending to Inuyasha (the title escapes me for the moment. You know, the one with Sesshomaru)

Hm... I distinctly remember some others but they escape me for now ^^;;

Trigun's op and ed

The opening I agree with, but the END?! Ugh! That has got to be the most horrendous sounding thing I've ever heard. It didn't even make much sense, and it sounded nasty. Just MHO.

This I agree with...:) I liked it too.

To my memory, I can't say that I haven't heard a song from Hamtaro that I didn't like. Those Ham-Hams actually have some pretty nice harmony!

I like A Little Snow Fairy Sugar's opening and ending themes.

Record of the Lodoss War Chronicles of the Heroic Knight's open and close. (the credit's song gets stuck in my head for long periods of time.)

Angelic Layer's ending is awesome.

Iria's opening song 'The Dream is Far' is very good too.

So much for picking a favorite ...

Tank! - Bebop
Just Communication - GW
Opening Trigun Theme

That doesn't mean that i actually watch Hamtaro...But the times I did, the ending theme was awesome! Especially since Hamtaro did his little dance thing!

I don't know if I can pick a favorite...

I will say that I used to have the opening and closing theme songs to Slayers Next and the opening to Try memorized (in Japanese of course).

My favorite music overall (opening, closing, and background for the series) is that of The Vision of Escaflowne.

I liked the opening themes of Vandread and Vandread the Second Stage too.

Can't just pick one, two, or even only three.

Kindan no Pense (OP) - Silent Möbius
Fukai Mori(ED) & My Will (") - InuYasha
Key of the Twilight, Fake Wings, Aura, SeeSaw (ED) -.hack//sign
Call me Call me, Real Folk Blues (most of it), Tank! - Cowboy Bebop (understood OP & ED aside from just other themes)
Opening Theme - Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure
The Legend of Ashitaka Theme - Princess Mononoke

THE END of my list.

Definately Tank! Other than that

Duvet from Lain
The opening to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
White Station from I My Me Strawberry Eggs
The opening to UY TV... yeah, it sounds like a nintendo game who cares...
Shooting Star from Onegai Twins
The Opening to Rumic Theater
I Am in Inu Yasha
The opening to Sakura Wars (man that's just too cool)
Sakura Saku from Love Hina (great song, horrible show)
Heart Moving from Bishoujo Senshi Seera Muun Classic. It's so sad! NOT MAMCHAN TOO (cries... Oh, and I'm male and completely straight, just to get those accusations out of the way...)
Asu no Egao no tameni from Gatekeepers
Tenshi no Yubikiri from Kare Kano
Almost all songs in .hack//sign

And, this isnt' a "theme" per se, but the Aestevalis song is just too funny...

Along those lines of "not a theme" comes the Baka song from Ranma... That is incredibly funny. Since I dont' really reccomend the show to you, you can download the music video on Kazaa.

A song taht is a great song, but it's specifically for a ver bad movie, is "Come Sweet Death" from "End of Evangelion." If you actually know what's going on you will have emotional scars for a long time if you watch that movie, so I beg everyone to stay away from it... And from the last episode of Excel Saga, and it's followup Puni Puni Poemi, though they are just dirty and not emotionally scarring like EoE is...

Now that I've been able to see the first DVD, I'll also have to had 'Freebird' from Haibane Renmei. The rest of the music is pretty good too.
