I haven't heard from Link Antilles in a while.

On a related note, I haven't been on much in the last few days, due to the business of moving back home after my first year of college.

I have a question (more accurately, questions) instead of a contribution to this topic. What causes the phenomenon of joining a site and then never posting upon it? Worse, joining and then only posting about two messages. Is it really possible to simply forget about such things, or this there another cause? Have any of you done this and could you provide any insight?

Maybe they just wanted to PM people or read the forums with a different skin? O_o

I have been wondering what has happened to Da Rabid Duckie, our resident demolition expert.

On one note, Vyse does bring up a point. I have seen members sign up and primarily just PM and play in the arcade. They barely post in the forums. Why? *shrugs his shoulders.*

There are two reasons for this (and I've done this before myself)
1. It simply leaves your mind.
2. For whatever reason, you realize posting there is not worth it.

Again, this can happen if for some reason the poster realizes posting "isn't worth it--" perhaps they were turned off. On the other hand, perhaps the poster needed only a few bits and pieces of information and found no more reason to stay. I've seen quite a few "members" do that here.

I can understand this. Generally I spend a good bit of time checking out a forum before considering joining, but I understand that most would not necessarily feel the need to do this.

True, and possibly a legitimate reason to join a forum.

Myself I was wondering where DanekJovax had gotten off to, the other day.

Yeah, I've been lurking around the forums a little bit lately...a few things have set me back lately (getting back on track this week, finally)... despite that.. you can find me on MSN (here and now), anyone (minus are trolls) is free to talk to me there.

Anyways, my apologies to those I haven't replied to their PMs to in a long time. I try to get back to ya'll.

I miss Mimichan (sure it's computer problems and work). Haibane Shadsie I haven't seen in a really long time. Also, where is DanekJovax my fellow otaku? There's a lot who haven't been around lately.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Turbo is busy takin' care of the new little turbokitten, who is what, like 8 or 9 months old now. I saw her the other day--she misses all ya, but she's happy with her hubby and their beautiful little baby (whom she lets me hold....sniff...she's so precious!)

I dunno if someone already said this, but they probably only post to put their votes in for the bishie/bishoujou contest...or, worse, an existing member makes another account just to vote AGAIN so their fav. character can win...>.>

If they made another account we would probably notice. IPs, you know. I can understand joining for the sake of a contest (though it seems more silly than anything else), but the phenomenon has been occuring since long before either contest was created.
