Conference

Postby Sheenar » Sun Dec 26, 2010 7:41 pm

Hi guys!

I was invited today by a friend at church to come with her to a conference in Kansas City called OneThing. The only thing we have to pay for is our food while there. We'll be driving there tomorrow (well, she will) and will be coming back the 31st or 1st. So I will be away from the computer for a while.

I've been feeling so very overwhelmed by everything. I am hoping and praying that this retreat away will help. I have found that I have drifted a bit from God --I really need a revival in my soul. I've been feeling almost dead inside lately it seems. So much has been weighing heavy on my heart.

Please pray for safe travel (it will take pretty much the entire day tomorrow for us to drive up there from TX) and for God to do His work in both of us and in the others attending.

Thanks! :)
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."

I'll pray. I know some of what you're going through.

In fact it was a little bit frightening, But they wrote with expert rhyming

Of course I'll be praying to! Have a safe joruney and a good time. May this trip bring you closer to God. :) I hope things start getting better for you soon,
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The conference was amazing! You can check out videos/messages from the conference here:

I am praying that what I heard and learned will be the catalyst for revival in my soul --that I would no longer be content with the things of the world, but would desire Jesus more and more.

Though, already, I've encountered things that have challenged implementing and remembering what I heard from the Lord. I have been moved back onto the waiting list at the apartments I was supposed to be moving into. They had a resident transfer into the unit I was supposed to be getting. So now I am back where I started --still waiting. I've been searching for housing since August. I am so frustrated.

I know God will provide. I just have to keep reminding myself. Please continue to pray for that situation.

Here is the website for the 2010 OneThing conference if anyone is interested in checking out the messages on MP3 (or reading the session notes.) Also had video from the conference. :)
