Sadly (as if it wasn't obvious already), I am quite possibly the shallowest person on planet Earth. Thus, shallow voting.

So yeah...Brotherhood was obviously the better of the two, but I feel bad for Five Leaves, and I loved it, so...

It's not like one vote is going to make a difference this time. :p

Meant to watch both of these sometime. Too bad it wasn't before this thread.

I think it's fair to say that Summer Wars outclasses Break Blade by just about every metric.

Bwahahahahaha, this will probably be the easiest choice of the tournament.

So now I have another question. Will the second round be done bracket-style, so Brotherhood against Sora no Woto, or will it be randomized as well?

Yeah, Summer Wars was definitely better, but I do feel vaguely obligated to vote for BB since I nominated it...so to prevent a complete shutout, I'll follow the path a few of you took for Five Leaves and...

Saw a few episodes of this, and have never actually got around to watching any more. The monthly release schedule probably wasn't helping.

RAINBOW just never appealed to me at all.

Nope, randomization was just for initial seeding.

<30!Katanagatari>

Katanagatari was a really enjoyable show to watch. The monthly release schedule was kind of different and now that I'm waiting for the last one in a few weeks, it's kind of strange to think about how this show spanned the entire year. Even though it was monthly, it never felt like an agonizing wait like Gundam UC or Kara no Kyoukai. In fact, I think a monthly OVA might work pretty well for a show on a regular schedule (in terms of pacing; I can't say anything about sales). I liked Nisio Isin's writing in this one even though it's considered his weakest work (I would actually say that's Medaka Box) but what's really great is the distinctive art.

I watched the first episode of Rainbow and the horrific scale of the melodrama just killed it.

As someone who's had Black Rock Shooter images on his desktop almost consistently for like two years, I can't not vote for <14$Black★RockShooter> Haven't seen the other one but It's unlikely I'd like it nearly as much. Of course, comparing a one-off to a long series is a little untoward, but still.
